I have not posted in a few days--have been so busy at work and I feel guilty posting and not being able to look at condos. I have really missed reading about everyone's babies.
I was so sorry to hear the news about Tessie Lou today and will be lighting a candle tonight for her safe trip. This was such sad news, especially since it was so sudden, like Karrie's dear sweet Maverick.
Simon is doing ok but his ear allergies are really bothering him. The Zymox without steroid is not helping. I called the vet and I asked about an antihistimine. He said I should go ahead and try it although he doesn't feel real positive that it will help. He thinks that Simon's allergies are pretty bad and may have to have medicine with a steroid to really help. I am going away next week and I don't feel comfortable starting him on anything that will cause his bg to skyrocket right now. I will start it after I get back if the antihistimine doesn't help.
Question: Simon's vet recommended a 1/2 of a 4 mg. tablet of chlopheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton) 2x/day. Has anyone else used this antihistimine and does the dose sound right? Simon is a little over 14 pounds. I don't want to give him the tablet until I hear from some of you. Thanks for your help!
