Good morning!
AMPS 124 shooting 1.25u
Last night at bedtime (+3) I gave Boomer some extra food after testing....I had been expecting a bounce (despite my efforts to stop it yesterday) and instead he dropped nicely. Of course he dove right into the extra food but he did save some for later. Around +6.5 he woke me up. sigh. He had totally finished his fowl ball and wanted more food so I scooped out the remainder of the extra food I had given him in his +3 dish. That seemed to satisfy him until just before his +9 dish opened when he again woke us up. sigh. Tired Bean today.
Allen ate ok overnight but again ate just the turkey pate in each of his bowls and left the other food
On Boomer's menu today: AMPS turkey pate, +3 ff turkey & giblets +6 and +9 chicken pate with some fowl ball
These last 2 or 3 days I have had a heck of a time testing Boomer. The right ear is all bumpy from testing despite applying pressure for a bit after each poke and also despite using polysporin. And I've never been successful testing the left ear. He's had extra tests lately because I've been trying to catch his drop early in order to feed and minimize the bounce (like I did yesterday). Last night I was expecting a bounce and it didn't happen. Maybe it will happen today; I won't know until +3. At any rate, I'm going to try to minimize testing today to let his ear heal so I will just feed a bit of something at +2 and then I'll see at +3 what he's doing.
Today on the Beans' agenda....DH has gone golfing and normally I would head to the park but I wasn't proactive enough this morning so instead I'll do stuff around here and do some editing. I have a Dr appt at +7.5. Perhaps I'll go for a walk later this afternoon; DH probably won't want to go as he walks the 18 holes of golf.
