Increasing back to 1u or S1u at pmps, way to many pinks and yellows past 3 days
And he isn’t really wanting his freeze dried raw IF I put water in it, so he’s probably getting tired if it, so I guess on hunt for different food, he is hungry so that’s not a problem

Feel you pain. Gizmo has been high the last couple of days. I am guessing it is NDW - but who knows :rolleyes:. Hope Bella comes down for you. :bighug:

That kind of number makes me wonder if something else is bugging him and driving up the numbers. How is his butt healing up?

It looks really well, the only thing I’ve noticed it that he doesn’t want the freeze dried raw when I put water in it, he eats the sprinkles on top but not much more, he meows and wants food but doesn’t like ff

I just cleaned it again this am, not red or anything has scab over it
I just gave him some ff fish and shrimp flaked, he’s eating it, just think he’s tired of the raw, maybe give it a break for a bit
He ate about 3/4 can of the ff fish and shrimp flaked, he’s acting normal

Last time I took him down to .75, we saw pinks and the reason for the pinks and that red was the infection
 
Maybe infection isn't quite cleared up yet. I remember reading a journal article on pancreatitis, wished I saved it and it touched upon antibiotics. It said if a cat was diabetic antibiotics should be given for a longer course of treatment. Remembering I asked my vet and he agreed. If Smokey needed ABs it was minimum 2 wks. It also depended on the problem he was having.

I don’t know how long this antibiotic is supposed to last, he gave him a shot, whatever it was he gave him 80mg
 
It was probably convenia then. A culture would indicate exactly which drug (s) would be more suitable, do you know if culture was done?

Thanks, I needed all that, just a rough week, a lot of hours, worry about Bella’s numbers and Abby’s surgery on Tues, overwhelming sometimes. Going to bed soon and doing NOTHING tomorrow except for kitties. Have a great night big hugs :bighug:
 
Well I have to say my morning was very interesting, my little man I care for was in a bad mood and he would not stand to get off toilet and he has hospice, well they have a number u can call if u can’t get them up so I begged and pleaded for him to stand and even tried bribery lol so I called the number for the 1st time ever and I thought a volunteer would come, oh heck no! 2 fire trucks and 6 emt’s it looked like a calender was walking in the door lmao!

He was just being stubborn and would not stand up for me, lol he didn’t say anything, got out of wheel chair to dining room chair to eat, I wish they guys could have seen him, they acted like yeah right, doesn’t want to get up lol he was just mad, but it had been 1hr I couldn’t leave him there lol
