Good Evening, Everyone,
Thank you all for your thoughts on the remembrance get-together for my old friend. It was a lovely day (sunny and mild with a nice breeze) and everyone enjoyed sitting on the lawn bordering on their back fields, reminiscing. I miss my friend, my pal.
Claudia and Rusty had a nice reunion yesterday. He helped her with her knitting(!). He ate well and did his tests and shot just fine. We got home around 9 p.m. and we all had a nice evening. Today Rusty had his first greens in about a week. Claudia must be proud! (Although Rusty had a 39 this afternoon, I'm not going to rush into giving a reduction; his overall numbers don't warrant it.) The LagoonMeister was working today.
MamaDeer is still parking her fawn in the tall grass near our barn. This morning we saw her walking through our yard and hopping the split-log fence into the property next door. This evening we saw her slowly grazing and walking. The fawn was right behind her, but she obviously shooed him back, because he turned around and frisked off behind the garage (where I couldn't see him any more). I read today that mother deer, if they have more than one fawn, will stash them in different places and return every 4 hours or so to nurse them. Perhaps she has two.
Most of today was spent getting ready for our trip to camp tomorrow. The escaped convicts still have not been caught. Yesterday, on our way to the ferry, we had 2 roadblocks in each direction. Every crossroad had state troopers with rifles in hand.
I'll be back later. Tomorrow I hope to do some condo visits.

Yo Kitties, come visit me at Camp for the next few days: we'll swim, fish, paddle, grill, and have a good time.
