Well madam is being a drama queen again, teaching me that she should have had the first dental. Woke me at 5am making weird noise like a person smacking their lips. After several laps round/under the bed I got her and she was drooling quite badly. She's been eating ok though I'd noticed some minor drooling on and off last few weeks, which I assumed was nausea and have been giving ondansetron as needed. This seemed different so called the emergency vet - they said didn't sound like an ER visit but get in with her own vet, and give her ondansetron - she ate a little.
Saw our own vet at 9:30 and it's dental issues (last year I learned drooling = nausea but Minnie says NOT TODAY, BUDDY) - a loose tooth, a bit of blood and gingivitis, probably a resorptive lesion and the root is gone
They're trying to find an earlier appointment than what we have, July 20.
In the meantime, she had fluids and they are checking blood and urine, and she's getting bupe twice a day - it's working already, she has been eating well again and is very affectionate!
So much for getting all cocky about the rapid reductions!
. Curious what her numbers will be like after the dental, her first since diabetes diagnosis.
