LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Paw Prints Pizza is open and ready for business! They are running a Caturday Catnip special today, in honor of Catmint Caturday - lots of nip in those pies! They have even used their signature nip cheese. Best order early! The new pizza ovens are great, and so far... they been good pies! Lola and Bug say that they makes excellent nip crust. Mannie's tree house has become the new HQ for Paw Prints Pizza! WHAT FUN it was to have the Full Moon party in his treehouse! What a party! I soluved the Circle of remembrance, I gots to see and hear Mannie again. I am one happy Elsa girl this morning... :-D so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time!! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with peppermint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a great week. The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Yesterday, like all Fridays, was very much a water day, what with swimming in the morning, and swimming again in the evening. BUSY!!!!  Swimming was as good as it always is. The energizer fishie was in his element, and continues to have a great time in the pool. I wrote this last week, but it continues to be true: That swim test continues to be elusive.... one of these days we will get that done! ;-) The guards are making an effort to come over and talk with him about his pool stuff, and he has started talking with them. So maybe as that improves he will be more comfortable working with them in a class environment. I've been teaching him what I can. My DD and I have decided that even if he won't take the test, we are ok with that, as he so loves this, and is doing so much more than most kids in lessons do. He continues to swim two, sometimes more, widths of the pool on his own again yesterday. Friday morning at the Lynnwood Pool was a very special day for Nicholas, as his dad and brother William came to swim too. We sure had fun yesterday. Nice time for Nicholas and his dad, they got to play pool for a long time together, almost 4 hours. No wonder he was so tired afterwards. Yesterday was crazy... we got there shy of 9:30, he swam/played the whole time, non-stop, until 1:30 or so. He loves it when his dad comes, as we stayed through the second session, which means the big tube slides and lazy river are open, and Jason takes him on those. Nicholas loves the big tube slides! Jason says after all was done: "damn i am tired". He was ready for a nap before the little guy was. haha. fun times. We still swim at the MLT pool, not his main pool, on Friday nights. That was as fun as always. It is amazing that Nicholas still had enough energy to swim there, but he did! He knew when he was done, and told me so. Smart kid! Wednesday's swim was also a good one, many many swims under the surface! He still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast too. That is just so fun: burgers and fries, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. Last night we again talked Mariners Baseball, as well as reliving his visit to the lake this week. Funny - out of the blue last night on the drive home the little guy says we haven't been to the Science center in a while, we should go and do that. cool, add it to the list this upcoming week. I still love that drive from the pool to his house: 30 minutes of little guy stories, my little back seat driver! Quite the imagination he has. He tells stories, we continue to look for rainbows and sunsets and views of Seattle, baseball and trains. Great drive home! AWESOME TIME!

Monday found me out hiking! :-D n That hike for me was nothing short of an adventure. I went to an area called White Chuck Bench. OMG etc.... Could not find that trailhead for the life of me. Directions seemed simple enough. Oh sure! One wrong turn and well, you are toast. Which is what happened to me. Spent close to an hour and half on every FSRoad there was in that area, still couldn't find it. Even ended up on one that was undoable, had to back out, which was not fun: a single very narrow road. NUTS! Anyways, after a bit I decided this sucked, it was already noon and back to the point of departure: Mtn Loop Hwy. Reread the directions and after much thought realized that the dumbass ('cuse me!) that wrtoe the directions wrote them in cumulative miles, not mileage form point to point. AIYEE! and LMAO. After that - found it with ease, I'd driven right past it when I got there. nothing like be 20 miles off your mark, again, another LMAO. The trail was nice - very woodsy. it is part of the Washington Trails Assn work party group and is being redone after a total washout back in 2003/4. It will be good when done. There was not much river access, which was disappointing, but maybe that will come with the part that isn't done yet, So... had fun, had a great adventure, and sometimes that alone makes the day worthwhile.HAHA: even was chased and "attacked" by a large bird (grouse maybe?) who was defending her babies. I had walked into her path. What a ruckus she made. So I stopped, let her gather her little ones, and be on her way before I moved. HAHA. That was fun. I drove all of the MTN Loop HWY home, 60 miles of awesomeness, loved that. :-D :-D :-D    it was gorgeous there, with wonderful views and stopping points for the rivers.

Tuesday was my Seattle social day, and time to visit my friend over a cup of coffee. ~O) ~O) ~O) I decided to go in early, since the weather was ok, and visit the Pike Place Market here in Seattle. I love the market - all local farmers, fishermen, etc, and such wonderful produce and fish! Hey kitties!! I even visited the cheese factory! Remember? The one where Mannie took you guys all the time. I see thy have installed a plaque near the cheese vats: "Mannie ad all his kitty friends APPROVED!"

We did make Juanita Beach Wednesday afternoon, after our morning swim. We did all of what he goes there for. Lots of play, and it was warm enough that he could swim in the water. He had such fun with that. all around - really a terrific day. I bet both those boys slept well that night. William ha also developed a fondness for it all, he just gets so excited when he sees the parks, the beaches, the rivers, He is so very much like his brother when he was that age. What was cool about this trip to the beach was that mom and and showed about about an hour before we had to leave. the boys were so excited to see them. It was nice that Erin and Jason could play with their kids at the beach, take some weekday time ad just come and enjoy it all. AWESOME!!

Thursday was our travel day, off to lake Padden in Bellingham. We had a great time at a place we haven't been too in a while. Boys seem to like the place, so maybe a return trip. Something different that the usual. No rains there either, managed a little sun too. :-D We found salmonberries too. Nicholas counted all he ate: 23 total, and even managed to pick several for William. it was so cute to see him give some to his brother before he ate his. ;-) William had a great time too. he got to play on the parts of the lake that had water access, managed to get into it too.  As is the norm now Nicholas spent time helping me pull William back out.    Fun times for everyone. The drive there was awesome - I so love those road trips, and the Many Faces of Travel.

Thursday night found me at a thrash heavy metal gig in Seattle. My youngest son plays lead guitar in a band called Fallen Angels. They played an evening show, and for once it wasn't at midnight! LOL: I was home by 9:30, what a plus. the show was great!!! Matt plays lead guitar so well, it is a joy to listen to him play, even when it is heavy metal music. I've attached a video from one of the songs they did, there is another within the photo album. Should you want to hear any of the others, follow the links through YouTube. They are also posted on FB.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the three musketeers.... (photos from last week) They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Crazy fun Lola. I know I write this alot, but it all continues to be true: When I got home last night I watched the usual Friday night run and romp. That is so fun to watch, and so what goes down here on FR nights. Elsa just watches, trying to decide if she wants to run too. We have been, lately, getting her to join in on one of the romps. She runs once, maybe twice, chasing Bug down the hall. Not too bad for my senior gal.  This is about the only time I can ever get her to run like that. It is nice to see once in a while. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. Just as it always is. LOVE THAT! Lola was rolling on the stairs, Bug was pacing, and Elsa was just sitting with that stare: where have you been? Definitely a normal Friday night for the kitties. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. The runs were endless last night. Lola has been fairly good, no plant issues, no torn papers, boxes remain intact. Today is shopping day so she will get a new paper bag.  No doubt that will make her day. She still tries SO HARD to get outside during our warmer days, she runs from window to window hoping maybe those screen have disappeared.  She continues too to pound on all glass and plastic surfaces. What a hoot. Still walking the railing and the frig door. Crazy fun Lola! Bug continues to warm up to company more and more as the days go by. Sure is nice to see that. Elsa is still dong well, darn active for an almost 18 year old. She continues to be a very good lap cat of late: nice! With the warm weather she has been out in the yard alot. Lola is SO JEALOUS!!, and lets me know it whenever she sees Big Sis out in the yard. It is interesting that Bug just doesn't seem to mind at all. He is more than content to be a house cat. Kitties are good, and All are sound asleep as I write this.... Stay good kitties! and no new news is GOOD NEWS! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I am off to get those chores done, do my laundry, fill the kitty pantry, and try and relax some. It is a drizzly rainy morning here today, but I still hope to get out on a through the woods to the shore walk. YAHOO! Made it last weekend. It is so nice that the woods and the shore are as close as they are! The walks there have been great. There is alot to do today too to be ready for a father's day get together tomorrow. It looks like this will be a busy day.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! Another busy week... HAPPY CATURD

Hi Michelle,
That was A WEEK!! Wow, you sure are out every minute of every day, it seems. I'm so glad that William is getting into the swim, too. And that Erin and Jason are also participating. Nicholas's swimming looks awesome. White Chuck Beach was quite an adventure. I've had the same experience having to back out over a mile because the "road" had turned into a "trail" and I couldn't turn around. Not fun!! Great photos. It looks like wild country. Mrs. Grouse even got her picture taken!

Enjoy your "rest" day today. Thanks to Elsa for the great ~O) every day.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Elsa, Bug and Lola,
You guys were great hosts last night. The pizzas were delish. Everything ran so smoothly. It was wonderful to be in Mannie's Tree House for a big party. I heard him calling greetings to us. See you again soon,
~ Rusty

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! Another busy week... HAPPY CATURD

What another busy week is so true! Your hiking pictures look wonderful - everything looks so bright green at this time of year. Unlike today - gray drizzle.

Great pictures of sleeping kitties - so good to see that Lola does have some down time.

Hope you got a quick hike in today as well as rest. Have fun with the get-together tomorrow.

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! Another busy week... HAPPY CATURD

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did ok here,. The weather hasn't been the best, but we did manage a break midday, so I decided to head on out to Meadowdale for a short hike. That was nice, rather routine, but I still voe going to the place. All was wet and dewy from the recent rains, and looked rather pretty. The rest of the day was spent with errands, shopping, and that inevitable laundry. AT least we are now all caught up from last week. :-D :-D

Enjoy your evening LL!!

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) I think you are right: I am out every minute of everyday. well it seems like it sometimes! I don't know what I will do if I ever really have to slow down. I wonder if I can. Me too on William - we are trying to figure out how to get him there at least once, if not twice, a week. It is so obvious to me that he enjoys it as much as Nicholas does. SO paws crossed big time that that can be soon. Yupp on White Chuck Bench. That one road I had to back down, was something else. it was as you described: got too narrow, was steep and covered in gravel, and the poor car could not get any traction. It was more than obvious a that point that I rally was not where I should be. It was so awful trying to back down that with hairpin turns. nailbite_smile I too couldn't turn around. You have my sympathies on yours! A mile????? :o But yes - a very pretty place once I found the right spot! Loved that bird! she was so protective of her babies, kinda cool. THX on tonight - I truly am going to sit and relax, maybe some TV (the mariners are on) or read some.
Hey Rusty - DUDE! It was our honor to host. I LUBBED IT! We ca use Mannie's treehouse anytime, he would be so pleased. I heard him too! Kinda col huh! See ya soon - Elsa, and Lola and Bug

HI Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O) Yupp on the week - ;-) BUSY!, but I really prefer it that week. THX on the pics - it was a fun spot, different and worth investigating. I so know on that gray drizzle today - we have it too! no sun for us today. Elsa is not happy: she goes out and comes right back. Poor girl! THX to on the kitties pics. I agree on Lola - down time for her a good, when we get it. She is so funny - the others can be out and napping and she is bouncing off the walls with one of her non-stop runs.  So in that regard I love the sleep time for her. Finally then some quiet! :-D Yes, I did get in a short hike, in between rainy sessions. Nice time! THX on tomorrow - looking forward to a nice time with family.

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! Another busy week... HAPPY CATURD

I'm always so exhausted after reading all the action you jam into a week  !! How wonderful that the boys' Dad was able to join them a the pool yesterday....what a treat that must be for all of them!

Yay for Normalcy in Musketeerville! Lola must be doing some serious plotting...she's been awfully "mellow" lately  !!!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend, Michelle!!

They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. Oh yes! it's father's Day, duh! they have so many orders coming in. For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. SWEET!, and perfect for a spring day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

Happy father's Day to all you dads out there. I hope you all have a great day. We will be gathering the clan here this morning for breakfast. It's kinda a family tradition: breakfast for the troops when a get together is wanted. My middle son Anthony will be the Chef in Change with able bodied assistance from his two Sous Chefs: Matt my youngest son, and Nicholas who just likes to cook. YaHOO: Eggs Benedict on the menu, fresh fruits, and mini cinnamon rolls. Ought to be excellent!

I started today out with an early morning walk through the woods. it rained last night, and again this morning. I really enjoy walks after a rain, Everything looks so fresh and vibrant. The greens of our woods just sparkle. So off I went, cream in hand, to hike the local woods of Meadowdale, and some of the neighborhood too. The photos in the album were taken at various spots along my route.

Have the best today LL! I am sure we will. Remembering all our dads out there today. :-D

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) You are too funny... but yes, we are busy, and I too an TIRED after a week of go go go. The pool time with their dad was the best. Nicholas was just so happy to have him there, one excited kid. It was a treat for sure. I was elated to be able to get William in for some time too. He really enjoyed it too. I so wonder on lola.... she has be so good of late, ashort of the normal run run run everywhere that she does, and that never ending pounding on surfaces. WHAT IS SHE UP TOO??????

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! A busy week... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

I hope you had a good family time this morning for Father's day. How nice that mom and dad were able to join in some of the activities last week. It's good to hear all the kitties are still doing well. I love the pictures.

Re: 6/14 LOOSE LIPS: Phew! A busy week... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Hi everyone! wow, did today ever go by fast! Sure was fun though. Happy Father's Day once again to all you dads. We had a great time here today. Anthony cooked (YAY!), his version of Eggs Benedict, That is becoming a staple around here when he comes to chef. Really good food. Anyways nice time for all I think. The boys were good, having tons of fun too. it is really nice to see Nicholas want to come here, and have fun when he does. We were able to check out their new Durango. wow, what a nice car. It has so much room, without being too big. Unreal that it has three rows of seats, two of which can fold down. Lots of techie stuff on the dash, kinda cool actually. That car can even interface to the internet, and their phones. Whoa.... Tons of storage too! It should serve them well for all the camp trips they want to take. I believe Jason said they were hoping to take a coast camp trip come this September. COOL! Really liked that car, and told them I would gladly trade mine for theirs. They did not take me up on my offer.   in the photo album the photos in the middle are their new Durango.

I hope you all have a great upcoming week. it will be a busy one for me, as the other grandparents are on vacation and I have Nicholas and William all five days. I had better stock up on some of that 5 hour energy stuff. ;-)

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thanks, we really did. ALot of fun just hanging out together. I so agree on last week too - it was really nice that they could come and play with their boys. That sure made William's and Nicholas's day. Many thanks on the photos, and the kitties say thanks you too!
