Yesterday's Condo

Not a lot to report today (anti-jinx, knock on wood, etc.). Cinco has been pretty much flat mid-blues and I'm itching to go up to .5 units but I think I need to wait until Tuesday - don't want to worry about him while we're at bowling tomorrow night. Also, I guess I need to give this dose that long to see if it does anything. So far, so bad. His appetite is still stellar and the outfit seems to be preventing him from ripping out any more fur. All deposits have been IN the lb.

Minka is now on her third consecutive day of eating well!!!

(anti-jinx) She's still greeting me with enthusiasm when I bring her food, and she's eating flavors she wouldn't touch last week. I'm hoping this means that as she gets further from her last chemo, her appy will continue to improve, and hopefully (more anti-jinx) her pancreatitis is subsiding.

Sasha and Harvey are both eating well and no issues (still more anti-jinx).

I watched the race today, what little racing there was between rain showers, and then did some yard work as we have a strong "Delta Breeze" (ie wind) that is keeping it from being too hot. Second day in a row with no need for A/C (although I probably should have run it for a couple of hours yesterday). That streak should be ending shortly as the forecast shows the temps climbing steadily the next two weeks.

I'll try to get to some more condos tonight. The yard word has pretty much done my hands in - the cortisone shots wore off last week. :(:blackeye:

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. Extra vines for Michelle's Elsa and Jamye's Fred. :bighug: Prayers and vines to Amy's DF, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM and Elise's DM.

Not that I ever give advice but since you have bowling tomorrow I would keep my patience pants on too!! Glad to hear Cinco is feeling better, no more pukus I hope!

(Go MINKA!!! anti jinx anti-jinx anti jinx!!!!) :joyful::joyful::joyful: Hooray for Sasha and Harvey as well!

I see where you need rains, maybe more than we do but this year is dangerously dry!! I hope there are no brushfires that will endanger your property!! I have a healthy respect and fear of forest fires.....That almost happened to my parent''s home years ago when a brushfire went uncontrolled- their roof was smoking by the time the fire was contained!

OK Cinco....you're seriously sloughing off on your Deputy LagoonMeister duties...time for you to get back to work ~China

I totally agree that since it's bowling night tomorrow, the increase can wait another cycle or two....don't want to miss those yummy garlic pretzels!

YEAH for Minka's good appy too!! Sure hope it continues!!

Sorry your hands are aching again....you're totally right that yardwork is really hard on them though...maybe you should hire a teenager from the neighborhood to do your weeding so you don't have to be so miserable. Seems like it'd be worth a few bucks if you can find one!

if you can find a teenager that actually is thorough and gets the roots... I'll pay double...;)
I'm with you on the achy hands.... I made progress in my garden today... got 6 more plants in.... and another 2 square feet weeded 6 inches deep.
( i'm being thorough)
but that was where I had to stop.... overdo ... and can't function tomorrow.

sounds pretty good... appys improving....
continued appy vines.... and fur staying in place vines...

Thanks for stopping by, Ruth, Chris, Rhiannon and Elise.

That +3.5 is the first good thing I've seen out of Cinco lately. Cause for hope?

@Chris & China, there are very few teenagers in my neighborhood, and the ones there are would not deign to soil their hands with yard work. I have a yard service, but they don't pull weeds usually. They actually did deadhead some of my rose bushes a couple of weeks ago. I guess they got tired of how awful they looked! I'm not planning to do any more yard work for a while. My contractor is going to bring one of his guys out and do some for me, one of these days.

@rhiannon and shadow, I am right there with you. Tomorrow is not going to be pretty, for my back or hands. There was a lot more to be done, but it will have to wait.

@tiffmaxee, you give me hope. Thanks.

Minka is still eating....:)

Nice condo! Well, maybe not the weeding part. But the kitty parts? Smile worthy. Even Cinco joined the action and dabbled in green for a bit.
