Really nice day for Maggie! She woke me up early though, so I've already had two cups coffee, and I know I'll need one or two more to get thru the day. Off to the Vet for an early morning check-up on her tooth. So far so good on the new dosecrease, but this is only the 2nd day.

Great start for Maggie's day.

In answer to your question in Gabby's condo, the 5 Ps: purring, playing, pooping, peeing, and preening. They are one way to think about a WCR (whole cat report).

Hope you guys have a great day! Good AMPS Maggie!

Thanks Pat.

Maggie's trip to the Vet was uneventful. Her Vet said the extraction of the tooth has healed nicely, and he's pleased with how well she's doing on the Lantus and to keep doing the same. She is to return in 5-6 months for a check-up. If she was stressed, it sure didn't affect her bg. It's been a couple hours since the visit, so maybe she's calmed down. She's surfing along today.

Well, i think the bg 148 maybe was caused by my treating Maggie to several Whisker Lickins Salmon treats. They're not on Binky's list. She was such a good girl at the Vet that I gave in to her begging or that look... She's been higher on the end anyway.

What do all of you do when going on vacation or leaving town for a few days if you don't have someone at home to watch them?

Those treats you gave her have carbs I'm sure--OK check it out on the lists, but maybe switch to the Halos Livalittles treats--They are pure dry chicken, & the cats love them--They have salmon I believe too! cat_pet_icon
Maggie is doing soooooo great--Good job Ann!

Hi Roni,
Thanks. Yes, I sure they do have carbs. I was thinking since she's doing so good it might not affect her bg, wrong! I'll stick to the freeze dried salmon next time.

Hi Ann and Maggie!!!

In a pinch, I've boarded Six at the vet - they treat him like a medical vs. a boarding so he gets more attention. They know the drill with the testing, feeding, shots 12 hours apart, etc, but I did have to adjust his shot time a bit with their hours.

I've also just recently trained a neighbor who I trust. He was game and loves Six so I know I'm lucky.
