6/13 Timber OTJ Trial Day 10 PMBG 32; +1 46

Timber had a better morning today. He ate a bit of that Blue Wilderness food and took his pills without a fight. His BG is still quite low, but I assume it's because he's not really eating much :sad:

Hi Maria. CONGRATULATIONS ON DAY 10 OF TIMBER'S OTJ TRIAL. Normally a 46 would cause one to worry a bit but I'm assuming it's a good number when not on insulin. You're doing a good job.

Have you though about giving him a probiotic? The antibiotic could be upsetting his tummy flora.

You can buy Pearls probiotic at just about any drugstore OR you can buy ReNew--Whole Foods carries it, but I order it online because that store isn't in my area....ReNew has really helped Gobbles when he needed it; in fact, his poo has been soft serve a few times now, so I put him back on the ReNew

so, timber is at 32 tonight!!! are you sure i don't need to start freaking out??? cause i kinda am!! :shock:

he's eating better today. ate some a little bit ago after i tested him. i'm just worried!! otherwise, he's acting totally normal. help!!!

Just throwing out some ideas: Did you re-test? Do you have another meter? Do you have any control solution to test the meter? That is a little freaky, but he's acting normally so that's good.

i was going to retest in a little bit. i only have the one meter and don't know what control solution is??

Barbara 's Tuffy had a 32. If he acts like he feels fine, I wouldn't worry.

Control solution is some stuff that the meter company makes so that you can test the meter with a known solution. You can call the manufacturer and they will send some for free, but that wont do any good tonight. You can also test yourself.

i tested him at +1 and he's back up to 46. and yeah, acting totally normal.
