Hello!
We are continuing on in our lantus journey (day 3 of switch) and I was just wondering what everyone thought of our initial numbers? I assume while the depot is filling, it is common to have high, flat numbers?

I was worried about him being aggressive with his shots since it's such a high dose and others have had problems with stinging but he actually seems to tolerate it better than the Prozinc dose. He actually barely even notices me doing it.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend! Thank you! :)

I found the smaller gauge needle of the U-100 syringes hurt less than the larger U-40 syringe needles when I used them in the beginning. Glad to hear the Lantus doesn't seem to be stinging. It doesn't for all cats.

And yes, the depot is filling. When I first saw you say "high and flat", I was expecting worse. Then I opened the SS and saw that you've been seeing some yellows regularly. So, not bad for this stage of the journey. He'll probably heed an increase, but let's give the depot a bit more time first.

Sorry I guess I should have specified, haha. Since he is still peeing so much and acting like I starve him 24/7 (despite his multiple small meals and maintaining his weight), to me he is high. But I know in comparison to some, he isn't horrible.

I assumed this was the case, but just wanted to check in. Thank you for the reassurance!
