Ugggggggh! So last night apparently mom decided she was gonna leave the hospital (it seems to happen anytime she has anesthesia), the nurses were able to talk her down and they walked around for a bit and that seemed to help. My brother went to see her to today and spent a lot of time going over why she was in the hospital and stuff and she seemed to feel better.
As for the shower. I was up early this morning and it was run, run, run. My sister and I had last minute groceries to buy, then pick up the cake, get the balloons filled, pick up the food. Got everything ready, barely in time for the start of the shower. Her two neighbors showed up on time......and then we waited.....and waited.....and waited.....and finally around 230 people started to show up, but it wasn't just the adults, a lot of the guests brought their kids, that were not invited -- and then didn't watch them. The shower was listed from 1 - 3 and I think people finally started showing up around 2:30. I got a text message AT 1, the start time asking if the shower was still on (because of my mom being in the hospital) and I as like, um yeah.....perhaps texting the night before the shower or even an hour before it is supposed to start would have been nice, but AS the shower is supposed to start?!?!? Then the person who is glutton free, who we went out of our way to make sure there was food she could eat, didn't have ANY of the special stuff we got her.....
I just feel bad for my sister because she deserved better. We even put in the invites a directions card saying that there was a lot of construction and gave turn by turn directions....and everyone's comment when arriving late? Oh if I knew there was construction! READ THE DAMN INVITE.......
I vent here, because none of the people are on here and they are all over my FB so I can't vent there......
Thank goodness for my Skooter......He was meowing up a storm when I came home and was running up and down the hall....he just finished his +3 fuds and I think we are gonna try to sleep for a couple of hours and then I will test again......he is doing marvelous!
