Re: 6/13 Peyton Shot time...WON'T EAT! Help with food

That is the right one. You just don't want anything that has garlic or onion because it can cause heinz body anemia. Max loves the beef and the ham. Tiffany liked all except the chicken. They used to make veal which was her favorite.

I loaded up on food :) I will test him and then see if he likes any of his new varieties.

We are a little down from preshot. And he ate!!! Woohoo! He liked the 9 Lives Seafood Platter (5%). I slipped a little miralax in with his food to see if that helps him.

that's pretty close to the same number as preshot. at least he's not diving fast.

you can try feeding him little bites every hour or so to see if he'll surf along. glad he liked his new foods! for tonight, at least!

Exactly, you never know what the next meal will bring. He seems so tired to me. Since he's gotten older he doesn't run around but he seems more lethargic. I guess it's because he has lost weight from the diabetes and has some muscle weakness. All he has been doing is getting up to eat and then going back to his bed. He does ask for food sometimes and was just meowing for this new food. I just wish he could talk so he could tell me what's wrong. Could just be his body getting used to all of this. He's going thru a lot of changes.

is he getting vitamins injected? my vet has said that senior cats can often really perk up with subq fluids and vitamins. You might ask about it.
