Good morning World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday

KT
pm+11 - 113
AMPS 107
+1.5 - 191

Oh I LIKE those numbers this morning BUT he's refusing to eat much of anything so shortened his dose down to a fat .75 this morning. He wants chicken dust on top of everything - these treats raise his bg so I try to limit his. I can actually give him 4 temptation hard crunchy treats and cause MUCH less of a rise. I just KNOW there's sugar in the preservatives but they won't admit it. It happened when PetSmart bought out 'Simply Nourish' brand. He seems to be feeling fine otherwise. At least he didn't pee in any shoes this morning. I never DID tell DH his shoe got peed in yesterday....

Whoa Doc! Where did THAT come from? I see you found KT's pink pj's - they look even WORSE on you, they're awfully tight, you're a BIG boy! How 'bout dumping those! I did up his dose too yesterday so am hoping this is NDW. He's done it to me before when I increased. He's also feeling well - all P's in place. His door now STAYS OPEN all day altho' I do shut it at night. Sometimes he comes out and wanders around, sleeps on the piano, looks out the window....sometimes he goes back in his room and goes to sleep. His colors are SO unique - most of the hairs that are colored have THREE colors on each hair - light gray against the skin, beautiful goldish brown band then gray again. The top of his tail is a beautiful gray, the bottom is a soft brown. He's such a blessing!

CODY (DS with broken back) - sees the nerve specialist for his back today. He's beginning to not hurt quite as bad but is still on very strict bedrest (yeah, right...like he'll do that willingly...). I'll update when I know more but will probably be in tomorrow's condo.

All other fuzzy feetz are doing well - even DH is strong this morning altho' he's out mowing so that will change within the next 10 minutes. We got a new tire on my truck yesterday - I've been driving on a bad bad tire for months but other things kept taking the $$. We also had them mount the 'new (old)' spare so I have TWO 'new' tires now!!! This sure will help my 'worry' when I take off for shopping without a cell phone...I CAN change a tire myself but I have to jump on the 4-way to break the lugnuts. I'm not sure I could get these big ones loose...

BIG HUGS to all that visit today! Thoughts and prayers for our ailing kitties, goggies and their beans...

Morning!
Nice!!!! and then WHAT??? Hey Dakota, whacha doin???? Come on back down little one.
That's interesting that the temptations do less to KT bgs than crushed chicky treats. I sure hope his appy picks up. Maybe he's holding out for "today" chicken :-D
Lots of prayers and vines for Cody and his visit today. I sure hope he pays attention when they tell him to lay low!
tons of hugs and scritches from us to you

Come on, Doc, down escalator this way!

Hmmm, that's a surprise that the freeze dried treat raise KT's BG. Are you sure you didn't get the ones that also have sweet potato? Packeges ancolor are almost the same i did that once, but fortunately noticed before I opened the package.

What exactly is the back injury? I fell off a ladder and fractured a vertebrae, a compression fracture. Those don't heal the way a cracked bone does, but I am pretty good now except when I stand for a long time.

Hi Lyresa. Looks like it's time for KT to have a little training session with Dakota. At least Dakota is an almost yellow.

Glad you got the tires. Flat tires and blow outs have a tendency to ruin ones day.

Have a great day.

Hi Lyresa,
Those kitties are keeping you on your toes. "Simply Nourish" lists only chicken as its ingredient, but who knows what the chickens were fed!

It's great that Dakota has the run of the house now. Sounds like he's settling in well. His coat must be beautiful.

Healing vines for your DS.

So glad that you got new tires. As they say, you have a lot riding on them! I sympathize with you on changing flats. I've changed many a flat tire and had to jump on the lug-nut wrench to get it to move. The worst time was years ago on the PA Turnpike with traffic whizzing by. No one bothered to stop to help me!

Have a good evening. I hope the storms are out of your area by now.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Whoa, Doc, I hope you turned that around. I'm glad you are getting along with everyone and settling in to your new home. Looking good, KT! Tons of healing vines for Cody. Tell him that Anne said to listen to the PTs.
