6/13 Kim's Simon PMBG 93, he has an abscess, trial day 10

Well, Simon has remained green today. Unfortunately, I noticed a cherry-sized abscess on his neck (behind and below his right ear). I did some warm compresses and determined that it is full of pus--it oozes. We will see the vet in the morning. I hope that he can turn around fast! I'm going out of town tomorrow, so I'll have to make a judgment about whether to have my mom keep him or board him. I guess it will depend on the diagnosis. I don't know if he has an infected scratch, bug bite, hair follicle, pimple, or what. It is pretty yucky looking. I haven't noticed it until tonight and have been handling him to test him, etc.

Send your prayers for a speedy recovery! For goodness sake, it's almost party time and this isn't ideal!

It's good that you caught it and, even better, it doesn't look like it's effecting his numbers. Sending vines that this clears up quickly.

Boooo! I just got a 127. Probably from the infection. Although he also had a 127 a few days ago. He does not seem to be in pain. He might be a little lazy. He is resting in a non-usual spot. Other than that, he seems fine.

Yikes! Poor Simon. This is not part of the game plan, buddy! I hope y'all get good news at the vet today, that it clears up soon, and that Simon's back down to the greens today! Thinking about you guys.
