Just read your yesterday post about your mom. Frightening. Hope all has taken a turn for the better and today is an easier day. Good boy Skooter for making things easier on your end of your mom's worry list.

Skooter seems to have survived just fine.....interesting that on the days o cant come home mid day he has higher PM preshots....he must miss me :P


Utterly exhausted. . .I got to the hospital around 645 and got home around 515....taking a quick catnap before heading over to decorate my sister's house for the shower tomorrow....

From a surgical stand point surgery was perfect and short....however I think the anesthesia is making my mom confused and she seemed a little sad and depressed. . . Cried a little when alone because I feel so bad for her. She teared up when she remembered she will miss the shower tomorrow....I am hoping the confusion and sadness goes away... just love her so much and I hate to see her like this. ...

More prayers and vines are appreciated
 
(((Molly))) so sorry about your DM. You are such a good daughter to her. :bighug::bighug: I hope she'll make a rapid recovery.

Skooter - be good, mom's got lots on her mind. I wonder if he eats a little later when you are home, which would tend to bring down the PMPS numbers.
 
I'm so sorry to hear about your moms troubles :( I gather this is a repeat occurrence so she must feel a bit depressed wondering if it's going to happen again :bighug: she must be very sad to be missing the shower too. If she's feeling up to it perhaps you could call her and have her on speaker phone for a while so that she can still feel part of the proceedings?

I'm sorry she had to have surgery but glad that it's over and done. Good idea on the speaker phone. Hugs to you, Molly. Good job, Skooter, nice surfing while da bean was busy.

Tons more prayers and vines. Confusion is common after procedures and should go away soon. Lack of sleep at the hospital doesn't help. Sorry she had to have the surgery and hoping for a speedy recovery and that she goes home soon. Maybe someone can video the shower so that she can watch it later.
 
Elise took the words off my fingers! I was going to suggest videoing it, too, although the speakerphone isn't a bad idea. If your mom doesn't have a smartphone, maybe someone in your family has one that they can take to her and you can use Periscope or FaceTime to make her part of the action?

I'm so glad the surgery went well. Sending more vines and prayers for a complete recovery.

Skooter, you keep being a good boy for mama, okay? She really needs your cooperation right now.

We had to video a wedding for my mom that she missed. It really helped. My brother did it on his phone.
 
I think Skooter is handling the disruptions (later food and shot times and me being gone so much) pretty darn well....

Thank you all for the suggestions....I think perhaps I will take a few moments and do a video of everyone saying hi to her.

She still has the NG tube in and so her throat gets dry fast and she can only have a few ice chips at a time to wet her mouth, so talking is difficult.

She has a mild form of dementia to begin with, so this just isn't helping...I just hate to see her sad and down like this. I wish we could get her more healthy, but at this point, I am not sure we can. I think I will also make sure I take a video of her opening up the present mom got so she can see her expressions when she does.

I am so beyond exhausted. We got the house ready for the shower (decorations up) and let's say we were all beyond tired and a little slap happy....early start tomorrow to start picking up cake and food and balloons etc.....

Thank you all for the continued prayers....it amazes me the power this group has when they send their vines out and I really truly believe they work. I appreciate them more than I can say. Thank you all for the suggestions, too! I want mom to feel part of the day for sure. Now I am gonna try to get some sleep so I can get up and go go go tomorrow....
 
(((((Molly))))) I'm wishing a full and speedy recovery for your mom and send a ton of prayers that she will be much more I proved tomorrow. You are such a great daughter especially to think of the video. I hope that cheers her up.

Molly:bighug::bighug: you are a tower of strength for your family. I hope your Mom continues to improve following the surgery. And good luck with the shower. Hope you can get some good sleep before the event.
