Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is at the top of the blues this morning. I think it's because he knows we're going away for all day tomorrow. We had a nice schmooze this morning. I told him not to worry and that he would enjoy his reunion with Claudia.

The fawn isn't in the tall grass this morning (as far as I can see), so mama deer must have stashed him/her somewhere else today. I've only seen one adult deer (certainly the mama) for the past week or so; the rest are undoubtedly over on the mountain. Mama must have had her baby here, at "home" (we have a large wooded section in back of our barn).

Off now to do some last-minute shopping. Edward is cleaning. Claudia arrives sometime this afternoon.

I'll try to get back on the board at some point.

Everyone have a good weekend. The memorial tomorrow for my long-time friend will be a tough one for me.

I hope Rusty slides down today. I'm sure he'll enjoy Claudia being there. I hope you have a safe trip. Sorry for the reason for your trip. :bighug:
 
Claudia has cleared customs and is on her way here. Rusty is having an anxious day. He knows we are going somewhere without him. I hope he stays yellow and doesn't climb up to pink.

@Ann & Tess : I trust that my friend Victor is smiling down on me. We were best buddies since we were 5 years old. What great fun we had when we were kids, and we still remembered all the details of our family summer trips every time we got together in later years (Edward and I and Vic and his wife enjoyed many camping adventures together).

Rusty, you get to have a nice visit with your dear Aunt Claudia! Isn't that wonderful? You be a good boy, now, and show her what a great Lagoon Meister you are! Cinco is still on shore leave, so we really need you there to supervise!
 
What a week you've had - escaped criminals (I hope they've caught them!), Edward's keyboard issues, the mega car service etc. and tomorrow the memorial :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm glad you have the mama and baby fawn about to try and balance it somewhat.
