Starting off really high again for Max. I don't see how such a tiny decrease has caused this. :shock:

He woke me at 4:00 a.m. again and I gave him a little food. He woke me again at 5 and didn't stop meowing until 6:30. What is up with him??? I sure hope he comes down today. grr_red


I never had air bubbles with the monojects but am getting them with the terumos. Why is this??

Max, you're supposed to let mamabean sleep during her sleeping hours and THEN she'll get up and feed you. Is that why you're up in the rafters this morning?! Ok, it's time for you to slide on down to the lower levels...yellow or blue would be nice...green would be a little dramatic right now. I agree Deb, no green until MAYBE tonight if it is high green. Max tends to thrive on dramatics these days. Thanks for the visit.

It looks like Max is slowly working his way down.

Trix used to give me some funny "reverse NDW" sometimes. Whether I adjusted her dose up or down, it often took her longer than most kitties to settle into it. Maybe that's what is going on with Max...maybe he just needs a little more time to get used to the change.

I've only ever used Monojects, so I don't know about the bubble issue with the Terumos. I'm sure someone will have some insight, though!

Thanks, Amy. This cat is just not the least big predictable!! :o Now I hope he doesn't bounce from this rather big drop. I don't think I will ever be able to figure out diabetes.

Update: Threat of a dosecrease worked again. I have to admit he might have gotten just a drop or two more than last night as there was a tiny bit of air in the syringe that I couldn't get out. ;-)

Dosecrease threats are incredibly powerful! I swear they worked on Trix about 98% of the time!!

I bet the reason the threat of a dosecrease works more often than not is because if we have to question it, it's probably not time for it?? In any case Max is showing me that or else the extra drop or two has made the difference.

I really was surprised to see the low test tonight. I wasted a strip since I had a lot of blood and checked it a second time because there was a little more blood than usual on the strip. That's why there are two numbers.

Nice shooting Elise! :mrgreen: These cats really do teach us patience. :lol: I think this is about the fourth dosecrease threat I've seen today that worked.

I need to figure out how to keep Max from sliding down much more so he will surf. He didn't finish all his food from +2 so I put a little baby food on top of it and will see if he eats it.

I gave him a little of the hc gravy I had left from the other night. Hopefully it will be enough to keep him over 50. I have more but I'm trying to keep him up without having to resort to more hc. This is the part I haven't figured out about Max.
