Still under the depot of who knows what, but there he goes. Fed MC with HC gravy @+2.5. I am having to watch what I’m feeding him because too much food and certain things cause him to have a pancreatic or IBD flare up. That’s a recurring big problem. Even syrup. I’ve just got some new local honey. I guess that’s okay. It’s not grocery store honey though. I suppose it doesn’t matter. Everything seems to bother this guy’s GI tract though.

Local honey may be better Lori, its probably not refined, and has more medicinal qualities!!
 
I’m at a loss for words and that rarely happens.:eek: He hit another lime and I was on an important phone call while checking him. Person on the line must think I’m nuts. Fed 26% HC. We will see if that does it. If not he’s getting honey. I hope his gut can handle it. Eeeesh.
 
He’s coming up slowly so I’m going to hold off on the honey and stay with LC to help him along now. I’m at home doing the usual chores. I will do the errands another day.
 
I kept Max on 4.5 units even though he dropped slightly below 50 today. From what I’ve reasoned out, he must have a depot of somewhere between 4.75 and 5 units and the lime came from that depot. He’s bounced now so we will see where he goes. These limes are new to us so I’m hoping that I’m doing the right thing. It looks that way. Haven’t heard otherwise so I think we are good with staying on 4.5 units for now. I hope this dose will hold. We will see.
 
He’s already back to green. He’s had a lot to eat today. Hard to watch his calories when feeding so much to keep him up. Hopefully he will start to flatten out.

This cycle looks a little steadier to me, but I can understand that anticipation of a dive and having to feed into a safe zone.

Can’t trust Max though. I’ve been feeding higher carbs than usual, trying to keep him steady, but we still got a 45. So I think I’ve answered my own question. Thanks Deb. Good night to you. I will be up for a while.:D
 
His depot is closer to 4.5 units at this point. Might want to consider another reduction, or a BCS in the AM. Greens are nice, limes are tiring.
