For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls......... YUM!!! I LUVS Choco whip! and no worries! an Ice cream dollop included: orange and vanilla and chocolate Neapolitan!
What a day yesterday! I had a great breffis with my son. it is always so fun to hang out with him over plates of good food. as always I took some photos, much to his dismay. oh well he takes such fun photos!  See? : Anthony The morning yesterday was interesting. I started to do yard work, ended up dislodging and disturbing, big time, a yellow jackets nest, who in turn decided I was the bee's public enemy number #!. OW! Those stings really HURT! Thank goodness it was only one.... I now sport this huge welt on my arm. D*** Bees! I decided enough was enough, so came in, hung out here for a while , voted for DCIN. Much more fun, and painless. Be sure and vote BTW, you can vote daily.
I spoke with my daughter yesterday. My new DGS, #2, aka William, is doing very well. He had his 4 day after being born appt on Monday, passed with flying colors. Nicholas just adores his baby bro. Mom and dad have decided to keep him in all his normal activities, so he was off to the other grandma's yesterday. When he came home the first thing he did was go and find William. Erin says he wants to help with everything: the diapers, wrapping him in his receiving blanket, holding his hand, baths, just anything and everything. He checks on him all the time when he is sleeping. Nicholas has become quite the little helper at home too - laundry, cooking, cleaning, plants watering, vacuuming, garbage dumping, making sure the recycling is correct, and the list goes on and on and on.... This little boy will make the best big brother. So far he is having such fun with it, and I so hope he still will a year from now, 5 years, 10, the rest of their lives.
Somehow I think they will.
For any of you that are interested, the work on our fallen Interstate freeway bridge continues, and they are almost ready to join the temporary span repair to the main bridge and freeway. It should be a few more weeks, maybe days. It is amazing how quickly that have pulled this off. Once in place and all is well, they will begin work on the permanent repair. We all will be ever so glad when normal traffic flow north has been restored. YAY!!! Here's a link to some of the photos of the temporary fix: WSDOT: Skagit River Bridge Repair
Have a great day everyone. Nicholas and I and his dad will be going swimming today, just as we would on any other Wednesday. it should be fun having his dad there too. Jason has taken two weeks off from work to spend time at home with Erin, Nicholas and of course William. He is very excited to be able to come and see the energizer FISH in action. We hope to also explore the pool trails. YAY! I hope to be able to get to condos later in the day.
And kitties! THINK BLUE!! THINK GREEN!!
