Have you thought about stopping insulin for a couple of days to see if his numbers come back down? If you look at Belle's SS, you can see his numbers start going up as his dose is increased from the 0.05. When you increased to 0.1, you got more yellow. When you increased to 0.25, you got more pink. If he's getting too much insulin, the more you increase, the more he will bounce.

Since it is difficult for you to get mid-cycle tests during the PM cycle, this might help give you a clearer picture of what is going on with Belle. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
I hope you know we all care and are not picking on you. If it were me I'd stop insulin or get those night tests in. I questioned the increases thinking he was going too low at night weeks ago and still think that is the case.

How is he feeling/acting? You mentioned not long ago that he was pretty lethargic. Nothing but vines and prayers :bighug:
 
sorry, didn't see those message unitl now, already given him his insulin...

either way, i am worried about stopping his insulin... but if i am willing to try it out since so many of u suggested it...

but what if his BG gets too high w/o insulin?
 
i think he's acting lethargic becos his BG was too high, and which made him tired... but last friday, he was good with following me around ...
he vomited a bit tonight around 8pm
 
If, in lieu of getting an extra test each night as we've discussed, you prefer to stop the insulin, it can take up to six cycles to drain the depot. I have, however, seen a couple of cats who were very overdosed on high doses (e.g.10u) that took a bit longer.

If he goes high and stays there, we can fast track his dose back up.

As I mentioned before, this has to be your decision. Several of us who have posted have also tried to convey that leaving the dose and getting one extra test a night will give you more data to see what he's doing. we don't mean to confuse you but the reason we suggest that is so that if he does need more insulin, he hasn't gone down to zero. If he is overdosed, it will be evident fairly soon and then you could stop the insulin.

Either way, we will help you interpret the numbers once you decide.
