I agree that it is the vet that is causing you stress. She has already proven she does not understand how the insulin works. And for her to say bouncing is ridiculous....she doesn't see enough SSs to know or understand. Liz is right that she works for you; not the other way around. I agree that you need to decide how you want to manage Tashie's FD or you will always feel pulled. If you want to work with your vet and try it her way, that's your decision and you can still post here and we will still be supportive. If you don't think she is giving you sound advice, then, as others said, just nod and say ok. Then do what you think is best.
Insofar as testing at AMPS and PMPS only, if you had been doing that, you wouldn't have caught her going so low the other day. For me, it isn't worth the risk of my cat hypoing just to keep my vet happy (well, not my vet because she is way cool about all this

).
I agree with Dyana that you could take her back up to .5u. You can do it tonight or tomorrow morning (oops...you already shot).
One thing that makes me a little nailbite_smile about it is that Tashie has shown she can drop low rather quickly. Yesterday morning, I wonder if she did that and when you caught her, she was on the way up. Thus the big bounce. Last night, when she had come back down, I probably would have set an alarm and gotten up again later to test her. She came down a long way.
What I mean by all that is you are going to need to do a few more spot checks after you take her up. You saw how she came down the other day and night.
I'm sorry we missed you earlier today. If you have a dosing question, you can put "Dose ?" in the subject line and we'll see it sooner.
Good luck with the increase. I hope she has a better day tomorrow!
