Yesterday's Condo

Good morning all! I decided to stick with the .9 unit (1.05mm) dose this morning even though Sammy's numbers were slightly higher than I really had hoped for. I believe between +3.5 and +5 he ate more 8% food then I expected. Today, I am going to limit the 8% and see how he does. If he starts to see numbers in the 130's or above I might consider going back up to 1.0 unit (1.17 mm) tomorrow morning.

Other than that he is doing well. Yesterday he definitely ate better than the day before. I haven't been giving him the Famotidine because I don't want to upset the apple cart. I know every few days he does get that upset stomach, but it is usually resolved within 4-6 hours of getting a Famotidine, and that seems to be working for us so I might just continue on that for now. But when I start my job if I notice that he is not eating normally first thing in the morning I might try a preemptive strike and give him a pill before heading off to work.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day, and sending healing vine to all that need them especially to all the sugar kitties.

Nice start for Sammy! I'm glad he's eating better...the appy rollercoaster is definitely a rough ride. At this point, I do give Trix famotadine and cerenia preemptively...with her, I find it easier to stay ahead of it than catch up if she starts feeling crappy. But like with everything else, ECID!

Have a great day, Tina!

Grrr! I want those number to stay in the green, but at the same time I don't want to have to worry and stress over whether or not he will go low when I can't be here to monitor him. Why am I so fixated on these numbers. I know for the best possible chance of making it to remission he needs to be lower, but I am really trying to come to the realization that it just might not be possible a second time, or if you consider the couple of weeks on Vetsulin before Lantus then it would be a third time.

I want to get to the point where I am okay with some low BLUE numbers. Will that every happen?
