Good morning, LL!
Ripley is doing GREAT today!
She's on her way to join the CPC (clean plate club), and gave me a public display of #1 in the LB (ketones=neg).

I remembered to give her a shaved dose this morning ~ she's now at a skinny 0.75u. (I had meant to decrease it last night, but got into the TFS groove and forgot until after I shot. Can't believe I forgot about a decrease! Jeesh!)

Thanks for the visits last night, Barb, Ella, Rachel, John, Rhiannon, and Mariko! :-D So very appreciated!! :-D

Sending vines to those in need today. :YMHUG:

Morning Josie, congrats on the reducie! So funny on Public Display of #1! Now when you come home, maybe a PD of #2 as a welcome home. Have a nice day, Josie.

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O)

NICE AMPS Ripley! Impressive. lol on forgetting the dosecrease. :-D I so know on those mornings and the auto pilot of TFS. So many of my mornings were that way... the routine was so ingrained.

Great tor ad that Ripley is doing well. YaHOO!

Have a good one today.

Re: 6/11 Ripley AMPS 88

Nice start for Ripley today. Good luck with the reducie. I hope she keeps surfing green for you.

Thanks, all, for the visits and encouragement! :-D :-D :-D

Ripley is doing great tonight.
She was in the green all day, just ate most of her dinner, and got her sub-qs as she ate.
She's now sleeping on her rocker.

Earlier, she was very vocal; she wanted to go out back, but I was worried about her getting too hot (which equals poor appy and mood). So I tried explaining to her why she needed to stay inside. I was working at the computer and she sat at my feet and she told me what she thought about being stuck inside: she squawked at me for a few minutes! Silly girl. Every time I walked away from my computer chair, she ran trotted to the back door (as if I would follow her and suddenly think it would be a great idea to let her out! ), and she waited patiently; then came back to me and gave me the 'what for' all over again.

I wish there was SOME way I could get her to understand. But I also think I may have contributed to this demanding behavior of hers ;-) , for I have been giving practically everything to her that she wants since her diagnosis (with the exception of dry food and ice cream  )

She suffers from Poor Baby Syndrome.
I'm working on the cure. It may be incurable, though...

I'm always happy to see green when I visit, looks like it's been a nice numbers day:) My mom tells me Chyna is spoiled too, but really not...ok she is a bit ;-) Every condo I look at seems to talk about sub-qs today...maybe it's just on my mind since it looks like I'll be joining that (kinda scary to me) club

Definitely incurable.  But I love to know that I'm not the only one that has these types of conversations with my cat. There is all sorts of logic and reasoning involved and I swear she understands but is just being stubborn!!!! Like her mama! All in all, what a lovely day, Ripley! Glad your mama bean remembered your dosecrease! :-D Hope you guys have an excellent evening!

Hi, Jane and Amy, and Deborah! Thanks for the visits!

Hi, Rachel, it's not so bad ~ it sounds scary, but once you get into a routine with the sub-qs, it gets easier. Ripley started on Valentine's Day, and it took less than a week to get comfy with it. At first my DH was my assistant ~ now I do it on my own, easy-peasy. Marje was a HUGE help with advice/tips. Her video with Gus is amazing. (I may be responsible for most of the 'views' tally ;-) .)

I can't advise when to start/how much with Chyna, but I'd be more than happy to share my tips/experiences. Just let me know... :YMHUG:

Thanks Josie:) I've watched the video a few times...I've always been scared of needles and stuff but I managed to figure out ear testing and insulin (with much hand shaking, tears and nerves at first) so hopefully this too! My poor mom may have to come over for awhile to assist, lol. I'm glad there are people on here to help! The vet tech I mentioned it to knew about doing it and said "we can teach you" so at least the office is familiar with clients learning it sounds like :-D We'll see what the vet says when I ask...10 more hours to pickup time nailbite_smile
