Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Hike recovery mode....), and Happy Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gots a message from Mannie! It was under my pillow. He said he loves cheery Cherry Monday! I am so full of happies! WOOT WOOT WOOT! and Paw Prints Pizza? There was this Pie on the counter when they gots up,and went to work. It had this writing on the rim of the crust: "Mannie was here" :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D I am mega hapy now - Paw Prints Pizza has his approval too. What a great day for Lola and Bug - they are now in overdrive to make the best pies ever. AND! They cleaned up too!  so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Breve's made from Sun-Dried Sumatra Rasuna beans. For my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Cimmamum and Frango Mint infused white mocha/mocha blend with Frango chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles, white chocolate curls and frango mocha drizzle..... YUM!!! I LUVS cimmamum! and no worries! an Ice cream dollop included: minty frango and choco swirl. YUM!. Mega good!

Yesterday was an all day hike day. I am sorry I couldn't get to condos. It was so late when I got home, I posted in mine and then crashed, shesshhhh! anyways - this is what I wrote last night about the hike: " I did go on hike, to Eastern Washington, near Yakima/Selah. A place called Skyline Ridge. it is a ridge hike that parallels the Yakima River. The ridge itself goes on for miles, I only did maybe 5 topside. Did about 8 miles total today, climbed close to 1700, and the trail was so rocky - I had forgotten that part. shessh! But nice views up there The weather over there was nice: sun and about 82. I felt all of that 82! no shade.... not even one branch..... BUT! I did see critters!, 1 Bull Snake (I think, no rattle, so good to go), short horned lizards - they were everywhere, and a herd (well 5/6 of them) of mountain goats - they were down right awesome,. I found them top side, on a side of one of the hills. they only stayed for a bit, but wow - what a thrill. loved it. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D  Here's the Picassa link to the Skyline Ridge hike, including a video: Skyline Ridge. I also took several shots while en-route, of Snoqualmie pass, and various images of I90, I82, and SR 821. SR 821 was a delight to drive on the return trip home. It follows the Yakima River through the Yakima Canyon. What a great drive! Road Trip!

Kitties are doing well, and didn't destroy the house while I was gone... They met me at the top of the stairs. it so reminded me of Mannie - all three with that "YOU'RE LATE!" stare... and the prancing....  you gotta love it. Last night while I was posting photos etc, Lola jumped behind the computer and as luck would have it, landed on the power strip, the off switch, and shut everything down.... :o     OMG... I have to start the upload all over again. DARN CAT!  You gotta love that too.

Have a great day everyone! I am off in a few to have breffis with my son. Yahoo! No Seattle today, as my friend has meetings... darn!

And kitties! THINK BLUE!! THINK GREEN!!

As always, beautiful pics. At first I was thinking how warm it looks...then I saw the snow-capped mountain in the distance. What a view!!!

Love that the kitties were following Mannie's lead. Paw Prints Pizza sounds awesome...those kitties are earning their keep, aren't they? Have a great day, Michelle!

Mooring Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics. It was dry, dusty, and warm there (82 yesterday), but one does not have to go far to find the snow capped peaks. It is one of the tings I like about being in the PNW. One minute you are finding the "desert" at 3000 feet, the next you have snow capped peaks. There is alot of diversity here. The views from on top of these ridges are so great. yesteryear I had a 360 degree panorama: very cool! LOL,and THX and Yes on those kitties. That door greeting had me smiling and laughing at the same time. Well done on the coaching Mannie. :-D

Morning Michelle, wow, beautiful pics of the trail and also the road trip. Quite an adventure with the snake and little wildlife and goats, too. :-D Eighty-two is really hot. Did you load up wih sunscreen and lots of water/gatorade? Awesome views.
Glad the kitties are doing well. Oh my, on Lola and the computer shutdown. She is quite the climber.
Elsa Lil Bit, so neat you got a message from Mannie and on your pizza, too. That pizza is so good as Mags tells me all about it. Thanks you for the coffee. i is mega good today.

DH and I would've enjoyed that hike. I loved taking walks like that when I was younger. Still do, but can't around here due to loose dogs, and poisonous snakes. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the not-so-hot temperatures right now. Beatiful pictures!

So glad you were able to get out and enjoy a nice walk! Though the "critter" part would have prevented me from even wanting to walk that walk .. but that's just me :-D I hope you enjoy your breakfast out!

Morning everyone! ~O) ~O) ~O) The day continues.... I had a great breffis with my son. it is always so fun to hang out with him over plates of good food. Morning has been interesting. I started to do yard work, ended up dislodging and disturbing big time, a yerllow jackets nest, who in turn decided I was the bee's public enemy number #!. OW! Those stings really HURT! Thank goodness it was only one.... Forget that, so came in, hung out here for a while , voted for DCIN. Much more fun, and painless. :-D

Hi Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics - it sure was a pretty day out there yesterday. Oh yes on the critter part of it. I could ave done without the snake part, but it's so normal for over there... the goats were really cool! Yes on the 82, and a bigger yes on the water and the sunscreen - though I missed a part of my arm with the sunscreen, so a little bit of a sunburn there - darn it! -- and yes on Lola and the computer shut down - arrgghhh! she thought it was great fun.
Auntie Ann - I KNOWS! It was so cool. I miss him, but know he is watching over us. I am so glad that Maggie likes Lola and bug's pizza - they try so hard. OOOOOO! Mega good coffee? YAY! I am very happy now - that is great!~~Elsa, lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Angela ~O) ~O) ~O) It was a great hike. Bummer on yours, and the lack of due to loose dogs. and those snakes! the worse we have are rattlers, lucked out some I think. THX on the pics . and me to n the getting out - it was needed and enjoyed.

Hi Devon ~O) ~O) ~O) LOL on the critters - well one of them isn't the best, but the other two were kinda cool. Thanks on breffis - it was great. It is nice to be able t connect with my son every other week.

Sorry about the yellow jackets. Been there. Done that. I got stung four times. I'm glad you only got stung once. That looks like a great hike. I love the pictures of the mountain goats. How cool. That's neat the kitties were all waiting for you at the top of the stairs.

Oh wow on the yellow jackets. Be careful with those. I agree that voting for DCIN is much more relaxing. Glad you got out and had a nice hike yesterday. Sounds and looks beautiful. The prancing at the top of the stairs cracked me up. Yay for breffis with Anthony. I say it every time but that is so cool that you both take the time to do that each week. Have a great night Michelle!!

Evening Michelle

Sorry about the yellow jacket sting. Those suckers hurt big time! That has stopped my yardwork on more than one occasion.
Glad you had a nice breakfast with your son, though.

How cute that the kitty brigade meets you at top of stairs. Mine greet me at the back door....oh how I love that :-D

Have a nice evening, Michelle :-D

Hi Carla, thx - stoopid bee! I now have this great big welt on my arm. shessh! and yes - I am glad it was only one bee, though I think that he/she got me more than once. Nasty little bigger aren't they? THX on the photos - the goats were such fun! the hike was good too, lots to see from way up high. Someday I will have to stay most of the day, see how far I can get on it... LOL on the kitties! Mannie has trained them well. :-D

Hi Melissa - oh yes on the bees - so nice (NOT) to find that n my wood pile! I had no clue they were there - hadn't seen any activity or bees going in and out. AIyee! THX on yesterday: it was, and I was so glad I went. I know on those kitties - it was so Mannie, as if he had choreographer their moves.  i agree on Anthony and our going. it is something I hope never changes - it's such a good time together.

Hi Barb - i so agree on those d*** bees. I wish I had seen the signs that there was a nest in there - never did, no bees seen in the area - but SHEESHHH! They sure cm flying out when I disturbed them. -- and I so agree on the kitty brigade. it was like days of old when Mannie did, and got the others to join him. It really was so nice to see - loved it. :-D

HI Michelle,
Wow on your hike. What a shock to go from one climate zone and landscape to the other. No shade must have been tough for all those hours. Love the pics, especially the one of the mountain goats and the ones of the butterflies. One of my best friends from high school and college lives in Yakima. We haven't seen each other in years, but still keep in touch. She found it quite a shock to move from Long Island, NY to Yakima!

Nice that you and your son had a lovely, relaxing time at lunch today. Elsa is minding the store, I see. Please tell her that the coffee this morning was really needed and appreciated. And Rusty says that the pizzas this afternoon were "delish". The rookies have passed the pizza-taste test!

Have a good evening. I'm about to collapse (and I only got done about half of what I had wanted to do today--rain all day and I still couldn't finish everything). see you tomorrow. Take care of your yellowjacket sting. Witch hazel works well on stings.

Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella :-D SO agreed on the climate shock here. Cool and somewhat overcast at home, drive a few hours and it is hot and dry. The no shade can be, and was, an issue at times. I was grateful for that breeze! THX on the pics - those goats sure were a treat. The butterflies were everywhere! There were alot that just souled not sit still for a photo or I'd would have alot more. I am so sure on your friend - that's quite the adjustment: NY to Yakima! Yakima can be a very special place, even with the hot, arid landscape. The Yakima River is really very nice! . THX too on breffis - we love that time. Elsa seems to have ll in control, the rookies are coming along well. I guess she will have to stop calling them rookies.  THX on the witch hazel. I will try that. Tat collapsing sounds like a god idea. I think I will try that too.
Auntie Ella - you are so welcomes! my bean says rainy days require good coffee, so I made sure it was the best, and lots of it. I am glad it got you through the morning. :-D

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures!!! How fun that you have these awesome hikes and pictures and breffis with son and kitties that prance for you and shut down your computer! :-D Life sounds good! Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Hi Deborah :-D :-D Life is good! :-D THX on the pics. It sure was a great day there, had a wonderful time. and well, yes! best part is the prancing kitties and the one that has found the off switch.  yupp, life is good. :-D and thx - evening was great.
