OK bootiful Mr. KT - dose increase coming tomorrow if I don't see at least a LOW 100 run today! He seems to have cleared the runny poo...oh I LIKE that! His bloodwork showed weakening kidneys but he'd had the runs for several days so that might have been affecting those numbers. He's down to spitty raspberries at Dakota - Dakota is now mainly ignoring him. They had a 'face to face' last night by accident - KT sat up, did 2 raspberries, Dakota gave him a respectful pose and walked on by, KT laid back down. THAT IS SUCCESS!!! This morning it's even less stares from KT, he's now decided Dakota isn't going to eat him either.

Boy these 2 sweet boys like to hand me about the same numbers! For the most part, their bodies seem to react close to the same - makes it a bit easier to get these dance steps down to an art again! Dakota is such a WONDERFUL blessing, so calm and sweet. All P's now in place, his hair is now mostly soft and sparkly, very little dandruff left. He now needs to lose a pound or two - he's a bit roly poly at 16 pounds. BTW - THANK YOU CD for posting those 'head' profiles - Dakota is DEFINITELY a Wegie mix...that drawing could fit right against his profile! KT is definitely a Maine Coon mix - THAT one fit HIM!
All other fuzzy feetz are doing well. The neighborhood has been blessed again but WE did not step up for this new one...it's another lab mix but this one looks like she has some greyhound in her too. She's really really sweet but is probably a year to 1 1/2 years old, BIG girl altho' skin and bones right now. One of our other 'dog rescue' neighbor's is taking her - he only does dogs and mostly the big ones, he's a big man, little dogs scare him - he's afraid he's going to hurt them by accident. She's now been named 'Sheba', has her first set of shots and scheduled to be 'speutered' next week. UNfortunately she's also in heat....
DH isn't doing so well the last few days - we've increased his meds by twice his regular amount, we're still fighting several attacks each day. Last 3 mornings, it's started within the first 15 minutes of his getting up. I heard metal dog pan hit concrete garage floor this morning, ran out - sure enough he's down and hit his head on something when he fell. He's got a pretty good gash across his scalp but luckily it's not deep. All 3 big dogs were snuffling around him trying to figure out what was happening - they knew it wasn't right. It took over half an hour for me to get enough potassium in him and him to regain strength enough to return to the house. I've already dosed as much as I can for another 4 hours so we'll just live thru any that happen before then.
BIG HUGS to all that visit today!!! Thoughts and prayers for our ailing kitties and our Beans with holes in their hearts.
