Oh, I almost lost my condo! I could see the board was going to crap out after I submitted, so I quickly cut-n-pasted my text into Word before it did. PHEW!!!

Today marks 7 weeks with no juice, which also means 7 weeks since the pancreatitis nightmare started. I can't believe it's already been that long.

With that AMBG, I could have skipped Trix's follow-up pokie test this morning, but what can I say? I was greedy and wanted to see the green  ! Interestingly, her "PS" numbers have come down a bit over the past few days, since I started assist feeding. It could be purely coincidence, of course, but you know how us FD beans are...we're always patterns and answers that probably don't exist  !

Trix is doing pretty well today...about the same as the past couple days since I started the syringe feeding. Her appy on her own is OK, and it does seem like it may be improving since I started the assist feeding. I still have to present and/or hold the plate for her, but she's eating more per sitting than she was. And this morning, I could tell she was being finicky and not being "not hungry"...she ate some of her own Fancy Feast platter, but was VERY interested in the kibbleheads.

Her eyes are very bright and spunky today, too!

@Tricia - Yep, no denying it: I will always be a helicopter MamaBean, even if she did eat better on her own! I hope some day my helicoptering is just about pettings and not fuds....as much as I am a hardcore helicopter, the appy issues are too nerve-rattling.

It's my day off, so hanging out with kitties and running a few errands.

Sending prayers out that J.D. feels better soon.

Have a great day, LL!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

LOVE the Word paste! i used to do that all the time. Mine were always so "involved" that the thought of loosing those posts were so painful...  Word saved me many a time...

Awesome numbers for trixie. Love it that this is still all insulin free, unbelievable, but very cool. 7weeks???? wow - seems just like yesterday. Congrats Trixie on being an OTJ kitty. Interesting on the lower PS numbers and the assist feed. patterns are patterns after all... It is a great WCR today.

Have a great day today m, hope all goes well, and enjoy that day off. :-D

I think we all qualify as helicopter beans, so you're in good company, Amy.  I hope Trixie returns to eating completely on her own at some point. Enjoy your day off!

Re: 6/10 Trixie AMBG 124 "+3.5" 72

I just brought her about 1/4 can of Fancy Feast on a plate...little snack before I head out for errands. She was sleeping on her fluffy blankie...curled up with her head upside down. I put the plate in front of her nose, her head popped up, and she immediately inhaled about 97% of it without any coaxing :-D ! Not saying anything else....just living in the moment.

Time for errands!!

We've had a nice evening so far. As usual, a little slow to start appy-wise, but after her meds and the first syringe, her appy picked up. This seems to be the current trend. I have no complaints as long as the appy picks up at some point. She's probably eaten almost half a can on her own so far, along with the first syringe. As I mentioned last night, I'm Italian, so I'll keep on feeding the girl till I'm down for the count  !!

Wow....seven weeks. I know it seems like seven years.

I'm glad she is eating on her own after a little encouragement from you with the syringe.

Sending more prayers.

Nice save on the condo. When we first started have the board wonkiness, I got in the habit of copying mine several times during the creation - just in case. I didn't paste it anywhere, 'cause I figured I would just start again and paste it there if something happened. I actually did have to do that a few times. I've gotten lazy about copying lately, so maybe the wonkiness today is a wake up call for me!

So happy to read your condo today. I sid "yes!" out loud when I read the part where Trixie woke up and inhaled 97% of her food! Just so you know you really do have cheerleaders out here! :-D

Keep these happy condos coming, along with the lovely green BGs!
