Yesterday, she earned her dosecrease. Today is a little NDW.

6/9 Recap:
AMPS 126 +6 286 +9 188
PMPS 220 +9 279

Kitties just had another round of fisticuffs. Momma was a little late with the last portion of breakfast and they seem to know that whacking and whining gets me moving. DH says I'm well trained.

I've started giving Neko her Azodyl in a bit of pill pocket. It's a bit big but so far we've managed. Vetty said I could break it open and put it on food, but with raw there's not a lot of volume and with all the other meds Neko is getting (Duralactin, glucosamine), it's getting harder to mix the powders into the portion of food she gets for her main meal. I did hear her chew on the capsule inside the pill pocket, but it seems to have gone down (antijinx).

Yet another sunny day for kitties. I've got the screens open for the breezes but will probably close them up soon as it heats up. Plus, who wants to listen to the sound of a small excavator? Yup, it's back - probably digging the hole for the pool, but who knows. They always seem to be moving a pile of dirt from one spot to another and back.

I hope Neko settles into the dosecrease for you. Good luck with the Azodyl. I hope it helps. How annoying the excavator is back.

Boo on the return of Mr. Excavatorman Jr.

Interesting that your vet said it was okay to open the Azodyl capsule. It says on my bottle NOT to open it, but to give it whole. I use the pill shooter and it goes down Harvey's throat pretty easily. The label does not give a reason for not opening it.

Sending NDW be gone vines.

That crunching sound when I give Tiger the pill pocket always scares me;I follow her around to make sure she doesn't spit it out. Good girl Neko, taking those meds isn't easy! Hope the azodyl works for her!

When they put in the development in our neighborhood, they spend 2 years pushing hills of dirt around, so annoying! Are your neighbors putting in a swmming pool to be filled with little kids of a koi pond?

One of those days. Bad case of NDW, just gotta wait it out. And I read on Tanya's site that Vetoquinol has an information sheet saying Azodyl is not for use with diabetic animals. :banghead::banghead: I've sent an email asking why not, but I think I'll stop it until I hear more.

ETA: Changed my mind. Just read Marje's post here. But I think I'll be changing when I give it.
