Another "low key" day so far here, thank goodness! Trix's appy is pretty happy, but MamaBean still has to hold the plate - or at least offer the plate. She actually will now eat an OK amount with the plate sitting in front of her, but she still won't go to the plate on her own. But, at this point, just the fact that she is eating pretty well, especially since it looked like the p-titis was flaring and her happy was dropping off a few days ago, works for me.

Her numbers are pretty consistent...she starts off with pre-fuds numbers that make me wonder, but then Mr P kicks it into gear and takes her to the lagoon. I continue to be very thankful that I can still keep insulin out of our crazy mix for the moment.

She really hasn't needed many kibbles to encourage eating. What I've been doing is offering the wet food without any kibble enhancement, and when she seems like she's running out of steam, I'll toss just a few kibbles on top to see if I can convince her to take another few bites. Sometimes it works; other times, it almost seems to confuse her that there are kibbles on her food.

Gotta squeeze a quick pre-work workout in...DH and I had a huge plate of nachos for dinner last night and I am feeling them this morning. Have a great day, LL!

Hi Amy,

Low key day sounds good. The fact that Trixie is eating is good. If offering the plate helps, that's good. Nice to see the numbers coming down after eating. Enjoy your workout. I want to get back into a pattern of working out again.

Okay, so she likes room service!!! Seriously, it's so nice to see that +3. Keep those good numbers coming, Trixie.

As for Azodol I believe the jury is still out on it. I've read that lots of people feel it works but lots of vets think if it does anything for the kidney numbers, it really isn't helping the kidneys. I don't think it can hurt. I'm just not sure if it can help. If it isn't difficult to give to her you could try it. If the timing or administering is a pain I wouldn't bother. JMHO. I was reading in the early morning hours so I hope it was you that was discussing it, LOL. Have a great Sunday.

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Another great WCR for Trixie. She seems to be doing well, and the numbers are great. Keep on trucking little one.

Love nachos.... :-D

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

It's great to hear that Trixie's appy has picked up a bit!

ther times, it almost seems to confuse her that there are kibbles on her food.

Would it help if you crushed the kibbles into a "powder" to sprinkle on top? Just brainstorming here - you may have already tried this or are doing it now.

How are you holding up through everything?

I put some freeze dried chicken or turkey on Max's food if I want to be sure he will eat it when I want him to or else crumble Stella & Chewy's on it and it helps. So I think Shelly's idea is a good one to try as well. Looking good with the

Re: 6/1 Trixie AMBG 165 "+3" 79

I have played with the idea of crushing the kibble....so far, these past few days, she's eating plenty of wet food, so I'm just using a little bit of kibble here and there as "icing on the cake". But still, crushing may work well. She really does seem to like the Orijen which I think - as far as kibble goes - isn't TOO bad.

Trix was eating freeze dried chicken when she got sick so....you guessed it....she now has an aversion to it. Same with FortiFlora. To say she loved that stuff is an understatement, but now she has an aversion to it....

@Shelley....I'm doing OK, now that things have leveled off. But I tell ya, this has been quite the emotional rollercoaster, especially since I'm the extra-sensitive type! Thank you for asking!

I'm the extra-sensitive type, too, so I can only imagine how difficult it would be. Lots of anti-stress vines continue to be sent your way!

Nice update on Trixie. I'm glad she's eating, even if you do have to hold the plate sometimes. I hope the day stays low key for you. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Nice PMBG...she had a late-ish afternoon snack, and I'm sure that is contributing to the lower number. First round of din-din was pretty decent...
