Good morning LL! Sunny yellow today and I will take it!

The vet started Tarragon on Metronidazole again for his diarrhea yesterday. One dose and he is already feeling much better. I talked with the vet about the problem and she said that she has dogs and cats who are on a small dose of Metronidazole all the time. She said to give him a full dose until he is firmed back up and then give him 1/2 to 1/4 of a tablet daily after that. I have researched the drug and it doesn't appear that there are any side effects with long term use, but let me know if you have heard anything different.

Woke up an hour before the alarm with Tarragon on my chest putting his paws over my eyes trying to see if I was awake yet. Lots of bumping and purring. He obviously feels much better because he wanted his breffis and wanted it now! He sat nice for testing and shot, then meowed at me while I tried to get their box cleaned and their food ready. He is definitely feeling better since he layed on his back in the bedroom while I was blow drying my hair. When he is really feeling good, he lays on his back with his legs spread eagled. Silly kitty. He didn't even flinch when Charlie, the labrador, came over and licked his face. What would we ever do without our fur babies?

Hope you all have a great day!

Awww...it was so sweet of Tarragon to make sure you were awake on time! Glad to hear he's feeling better again. Maybe he has a food sensitivity that's causing the liqui-poo??

Great image of the cat on it's back with the dog licking his face! Love it! Hope his diarrhea gets resolved soon! Have a great day!

I'm so happy to hear Tarragon is feeling better. No idea about long term use but I'm sure someone will come along with some input.

Hi guys .. I'm so glad to hear that after just one dose tarragon is already feeling better .. and I like the sunny yellow too, not to bad of a start and with all day ahead you could definitely see some blues! Have a great day guys!

Sooooo Happy he feels better today! Moonie lays that way on her back & rols around when she feels good--Looks so funny--Such sweet souls--Have a good day--Hugs from us!!

What a nice, sunny report on Tarragon this morning waking you up and laying on his back. He sounds like a big Teddy Bear. Have a nice Wednesday.

Bear Man was on Metronidazole twice daily for years, as is my civie, Teddy, for Inflammatory Bowel Disease/Lymphoma. Another medication that I have used very successfully on both kitties for diarrhea is Tylosin (Tylan). It might be worth asking your vet about it.

I am so glad Tarragon is feeling better and the metronidazole is helping with his liquipoo. I use an herb called Agastache. If you are interested, I'll find the real chinese name. It is great. It comes in little round pellets...easy to pill.

Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Hi Melissa, Good news that the medicine is helping Tarragon. Rusty likes to lie on his back with his feet in the air, too (but he doesn't have a canine brother to give him doggy kisses!).
Have a fine evening, guys,

Ella & Rusty

an upset tummy is not fun - yay for getting some help with that.

punkin loves to lay on his back with his legs sprawled. i always think that's the image of complete and total relaxation! suddenly, i find myself wanting to lay on the floor like that and see how it feels.

yup. that was awesome. you should try it too.

I'm glad Tarragon's tummy is on the road to recovery!! It's amazing...I've never had a cat who liked to lie on his back until Champ. And now I find out that a lot of our cats like to do that!!!! Champ has done that since he was little, just lying there, flat on his back, legs completely spread apart. My sister always said he looks like he's "airing it out."

Yay for Tarragon feeling better!!! Love the paws on the eyes version of a wake-up call! With Willie, it's mostly headbutts or gentle slaps to the cheeks and nose. When our Miss Belle was still with us, she'd stand on my chest, get her face right up close to mine then yell at me to wake up with tales of how she was, in fact, the most hungriest girl kitty in the whole world.

Willie was on his back with his feet in the air earlier. Just cracks me up when they do that!!

Hope you guys have a great night!

glad he's feeling better. sick tummies in the house are no good for anyone.

i am itching to see how frenchie would respond to a dog. i love that your lab grooms tarragon- mush factor to the max.
