I haven't been able to post in the last couple of days. As many of you know, I am losing my job at the end of this month, along with all my staff (our center is closing). On Friday, I was offered the chance to start my own center right around the corner from me. I'm not sure what I am going to do right now. I will be doing lots of soul searching to see if this is where I should go at this stage in my life. At least I have some options and people that believe in me.

Simon has been flipping around with his numbers. I'm sure it is still all the stress he is feeling from me. He is still very lovey-dovey and wants all of his scritches. He is eating fairly well and I am giving him fluids to keep him from getting another pancreatitis episode like last year. He was showing signs that it might have been starting, but so far, things look ok.

I had a crazy thing happen yesterday. I volunteer every Saturday at the no-kill cat shelter where I adopted my Missy. I take care of a room that houses about 15 cats. I really love it. Anyway, a cat from another room escaped yesterday and was running all over the hallway. We were all trying to get her back into the room. I had an opportunity to reach down and get her and she was so scared, she scratched my finger SO bad that I needed to get stiches! I have learned my lesson -- do not try to pick up a cat that you don't know if it is scared. What an idiot I am. Now, I have 3 places on my finger with stiches and a big old bandage. I can hardly type! I will get the stiches out next Saturday.

Life is certainly crazy right now! Hope everyone has a wonderful June 1st!

Hi Georgia,
It sounds like you need to take a nice, relaxing sort of day today. I hope your finger heals quickly. I'm glad that Simon is feeling good and hopefully avoiding a flare of pancreatitis.

Good luck on your decision on the new center. Take your time and don't rush into things. Sometimes we do things impulsively during times of stress when it would have been better to sit back and reflect.

Healing vines for your finger; scritches for Simon and :YMHUG: for you.

I'm glady you were able to head off a p-titis flare...I'm finding fluids to be so helpful with Trix, and we've only been doing them for a couple months. I wish these guys could talk...sometimes it is so hard to read them. I love that he's lovey-dovey....he knows his MamaBean needs it!!

Keep an eye on that finger...sending prayers that it heals quickly. And it's great that you have an opportunity to start a new center. Even though you're not sure if you're going to do it, at least the option is there, and obviously it is known that you are awesome at what you do!

I hope you, DH, Simon, and Missy are enjoying a relaxing Sunday together!
