LOL...the early shots are a bear to get used to (Trix is at 5:45). I'm jealous that you can move back to 7:00...later just wasn't doable for us.

a mid blue makes me happy. that's good. maybe this is a good dose . . . ? and my back feels slightly better, so that's good too.
wondering how all the kitties that had things going on today are doing. going to go check!
i did call the vet last night - still no test results. marjorie, need to borrow your pants again!

I hear ya Julie, these 6am mornings just about kill me, but I do it so I'm not up till 1 testing!

the funny thing is he's back in "Low Number Lethargy Land." just seems like a slug today. he's made a bed of his bananas - first time i've really seen him gather them up - and is snoring away on them. darn, i have a picture of him to attach, but i keep getting that server error and it won't let me. i think i need to update and restart everything.

punkin's just hanging out today - but then, before i over-analyze him too much i guess i should acknowledge that anya is just hanging out too. it's gray, cold, not rainy but a day to stay inside and hunker down a bit!

i do the same thing with alex. she'll be laying around and i can't help but think she must not be feeling too well, but then i have to remind myself to look at my other cats. they're all doing the same thing! lol!

he seems to be surfing today . . . good numbers, although there was the whole sledge-hammer-to-get-there thing.
have i mentioned i'm waiting ever so patiently for the test results? anyone? mentioned that? in passing? ;-)
i've emailed to a veterinary dentist requesting a consult. she travels around, apparently, but isn't scheduled to be here until june 15th and i'm, uh, well, not patient. so i'm hoping i can go to wherever she is and get his mouth checked and get some answers.
she's accredited with the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, so hopefully is skilled and can get to the bottom of this. there are only 3 accredited for small animals in Oregon and the other 2 are in Portland, which would be 4 hours of howling that i'd have to endure!

or i could leave him in the car and spend a relaxed 10 minutes inside! that would get me into the first row of books.
i do love the place, though. it's phenomenal for people who like books.

thanks bev - i'm just seeing your post. i'm sorry gus' came back positive. i kinda think punkin's will too, but will wait and see. they're still our sweet kitters no matter what a test says.

that's so sweet of you, marjorie. we'll be ok no matter what the results are. punkin won't know the difference and the way i look at it is that he's already outlived felix, who didn't have diabetes or anything else. we'll just enjoy our time together. no one ever knows how much time they've got.

I hate getting up at 5:00am to shoot. You'd think after 10 months of doing this my body would adjust. The body has not adjusted I'm now tired all the time. But I do it so I can monitor her before going to work. The benefit is that I'm free then on the weekends to start running errands after 8:00am and don't have to stay up late to monitor.

You know, you're absolutely right! The test results are only a good explanation as to why the need for a large dose. The results change nothing for me. You have such an awesome outlook. I'll have another helping, please. ;-)

bev, after losing both my parents in the last few years, i'm just determined i won't spend my time with him grieving for something that hasn't yet happened. we'll see if i can maintain that when the test results come in. ;-)

good evening, guys!! i'm with you on the early mornings! at least now it gets light earlier, so that helps. I was trying to shoot at 5:30 this winter and it just wasn't working out! 6am works well for us now... I can snooze for another hour if I really want or can be ambitious and get up and get an early start to my day at work. Seems to allow us just the right amount of flexibility.
oooohhhhh, powells. I haven't been to the one in Lincoln Park in Chicago for a couple years. Now you totally have me wanting a weekend getaway! Willie doesn't travel well either... we've got 5 hours of howling for my brother's wedding the week of July 4th. I have an outlet adapter that turns the charger thingy in the car into a regular outlet. Starting a few days before the trip, I'm going to plug a feliway diffuser in there and we'll see if that helps!
