I finally got Moe’s IGF-1 test results back. Positive for acromegaly. IGF-1 measured at 295 in the sample sent. Moe is my vet’s first acro cat. She’s excited about learning more; me not so much. She’s reading up on treatment options, costs and life expectancy; calling a specialist in Houston to discuss further and she will call me back later this week.

So that explains why we can’t regulate him; and the weirdly fluctuating numbers.
