Did you have a purrfect day? Mine would have been better if the weather was nice but I got some stuff done.

How is hoot doing as regards the 5Ps.? And when can you get some lantus... Has he been sneaking the neighbors dry again??

I had a good day. It was rainy and didn't do much, which is very unusual for me as I am always running! I am waiting to get the Lantus until after his dental on Thursday, maybe he won't need it...PAWS CROSSED!!!!! But yes, he had gotten into the neighbors food. So I kept him in for a week and it still didn't go back down so I don't know. I watch him very closely when he is outside. I actually take him and the other 2 for a walk everyday. They love it. They never run off, their to scared, LOL! So now for the stupid ? ..... What is the 5Ps?

Put the 5 P's together with how the appetite is doing and you have what we call a WCR or Whole Cat Report.

Example:
My cat Wink was purring so loudly this morning, he woke me up! Then he got into a tussle with my civie Delta, Used the LB and left prezzies, Begged for more treats after his weekly AMBG and first breffis and was a member of the CPC (Clean Plate Club). Then it was time for him to do a quick wash-up and his nap time until 2nd breffis. Happy kitty this morning.

It's the clinical signs the vets talk about improving. A cat is more than just his BG numbers.

Still so much to learn on this journey!! Thanks for all the explanations! We have come so far since we first joined last October. But there is still so much to do and learn. Just because he's OTJ doesn't mean this is over!! We just keep our paws crossed and do the best we can for our babies. ;-) :smile:
And his 5p's are great. Actually everythings good with him. He has some signs like his appetite has increased a little, and the pee in the LB is big again, but he's not drinking any water. His attitude is ok, he does get a little aggressive with the other 2 when he's like this, but he still plays. I am going to try to get his Ketones today. Have never done that yet. All in all he has been much worse. But now I know what to look for, even if they are subtle this time. And thats thanks to all of you!!
