Happy Sunday! Sending out many healing vines to all who need them and prayers for Ruth's husband. (((Ruth)))
It's ground squirrel chasing day in Gracieland. There has been a baby ground squirrel in the courtyard all morning; someone forgot to tell him he's a ground squirrel because he's been scurrying up and down the mesquite tree in the courtyard driving Gracie berserk. I have to bring her in from the catio because she's running from one side of it to another watching him scamper all over the place. I feel sorry for her that she can't get to him. In the meantime, Tobey is staying on top of the lizard issue    I think they would be amazing hunters if they were ever allowed to do it. But then, Scottish Folds got their illustrious start as barn cats ;-)
Gracie's dosing has been challenging ever since we gave her the reduction to 0.45u. As usual, she does great until we get to around that dose and then she fizzles. We took her back up to 0.5u to try and kickstart her again and she started a diving/bouncing routine.  For her, that tells me she probably has a good dose somewhere in between 0.45 and 0.5u. Right. In the past when she did the dive/bounce, we've taken her down and let her flatten out but at higher numbers and then took the dose back up. We've also tried really raising the dose to smooth the bouncing but then we are back to testing/feeding a lot. We decided to try and flatten her at the 0.5u dose so last night I was determined to be ultra vigilant and catch her before she did the dive and feed the curve to flatten it and SUCCESS!! Much better, flatter night last night. So we'll see where she goes today.
Have a great Sunday.
