He'll get there. I remember how frustrated I was each time last summer that I had to reduce for vacation and then reel him in again.

I don't think you have to wait to increase. 1 unit was not the answer before you left and it doesn't look like it is now. The longer you wait, the more you might see glucose toxicity. This is not the third cycle on this dose, just the third cycle with your level of monitoring. This dose did it's job of keeping him safe while you were gone, but that job is over now.

I noticed that my insulin pen just didn't seem to work with my needle... its hard to explain. But I switched to my other pen because I am wondering if something happened to it during boarding (since the pen that was being used was mistreated). I guess I'll see if it makes a difference.
