I'll get the SS updated shortly, numbers have been the same flat 250's-260's.
Used my utility bill money to take Eleanor to the vet.
Compared my meters to theirs, Theirs: 398 My Contour: 328 My Relion: 308. Have no clue what this tells me since it was only one test and even the vet said their meter, as all meters, is not totally accurate. Eleanor's bg before going to the vet was 254.
They checked my testing and shooting abilities and said I'm doing just fine.
Vet feels that the lumps and bumps and scabs on Eleanor's back etc aren't caused by the shots but by a skin infection. This is interesting because her sibling was treated earlier this year for a skin infection causing lesions.
Vet gave me Orbax Oral Suspension for Eleanor.
I got home and looked at it. Called vet to ask if there is sugar in it. They didn't know but called manufacturer who stated that it has malt syrup in it but it is not contraindicated in diabetic pets and will not raise the bg.
I question this.
I can give one dose and see if it raises but really don't want to do that, I can ask vet to call in a prescription to the compounding pharmacy = more money. I could just give it to her and if it raises her bg, oh well, but don't want her to be any higher than she already is for 10 days.
Has anyone used Orbax Oral Suspension? Did it raise the bg?
