Hello LL! :YMHUG: I've been meaning to stop in for quite some time to give an update, but as you can see it's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well, and even though I haven't been around lately I think of you all often.
I was hoping you could take a look at Ebby's numbers. They seem really off today and she is in the 500's during the middle of the cycle. I recently brought her dose back up to .75 from a brief reduction down to .50. Ebby has seen her share of 500's but this one seems weird because it is in the middle of the cycle. I'm wondering if that brief stay at the .50 dose just messed everything up. I do have some R on hand. Should I try to bring this number down or wait it out? I'm hoping this is all just a result of the .50 dose and that we can get back on track.
She had a vet appointment last week and everything looked ok on blood work except the kidney values were elevated since her last visit. The vet said beginning of Kidney disease but really not that much higher than last year. I'm sorry I don't have the exact numbers. I haven't got a copy yet.
On a side note: Babo (Ebby's brother) is doing well. My last post mentioned that the vet thought he had liver cancer, although it wasn't confirmed. We decided to not put him through the exploratory surgery because he was just so weak and had lost a lot of weight, and he was 15. At that point we didn't think he'd make it through. So, we started on steroids in hopes maybe it was just IBD. I bought him new toys and new beds and just tried to make him comfortable and happy. He is on a very low dose of steroids and is doing very well. He gained the weight back and is no longer puking, so we're hoping that maybe it was just IBD. We're just trying to appreciate each day we get with him from here on.
