Well, dd & I survived 2 very long days at her swim meet! Morris travelled well with us yesterday, but he sure was panting a lot (do cats do that when they are too hot like dogs do?). I thought all the action at the meet would stress him & he would have high BG numbers.....he surprised me instead with low numbers! Today, even though I had to leave early, I decided to leave Morris at home. I managed to convince dh to give Morris his insulin shot for me (I drew it up before I left for the day). Dh is still not ready to do BG testing, so I checked Morris level before I left to make sure it would be OK for him to give the insulin.
I forgot to give Morris his bupe last night, so I decided to see how he would do without it. He does not seem to be any worse without it, so hopefully that means he is getting better! I still have a bit of injectable pepcid & SQ fluids left, so I am still continuing on with both of those. During his last flare, it was the mirtz that we stopped last, so I will still give him another dose of that tomorrow evening.
Checking in on his P's.....the only P that seems to still be missing is playing. Perhaps because the meds are making him more tired? Maybe he is bored with his toys?
