Looking great so far! It's good that his appetite is returning to normal. I hope he keeps surfing safely through the night!

I hope so too but he normally drops late so Im not so sure.. probably will hit green next check.. Im still not sure how often I should check him.. so far so good but really dont like micro testing his poor little ears get so bruised, mostly because I pull him off my deck and his ears are so darn cold.... I do warm them with a pill bottle filled with hot water but lately he pulls hard hard right when I put the needle in and I am fighting that part, so scared to slash his ear.. hes naughty for sure!!

I use a needle yes I have never used a lancet.. it might be easier though because my needles get so sticky sometimes.. I just watched the video and I never put air back into the bottle!!! I never really thought about that b4 :(
OK +5 sounds good but what if he drops low?? I gues he is surfing well at the moment though.. **worried mom**

Sorry...I mean do you use a needle to test? Not sure what you mean about the needles get sticky?

You should be poking the ears with lancets.....

In my signature block, there is a link to Handling Low Numbers. Click on that and there's some good info on low numbers.

Because, if he goes low, it will likely be after mid-cycle. It might just take some low carb food to bring up any low numbers.

Var-ee...you can test him at +4 if it will make you feel better. It's ok and will let you manage the numbers.

35 minutes until next check.. ya Rory refused High carb food yesterday I struggled getting him to eat .. normally he is a little hoover but it makes him sick the next day I noticed.. he vomits and get constipated so he has turned off fancy feast .. I have it open and ready to try.. could be just that he isnt use to that brand at all .. but he will eat the pate with no problem.. darn wheat is probably the problem.. I have honey though so I have yet to use any

OH.. and yes I do use lancets.. lol I was thinking of injection pens not sure why.. I use extra fine but I think I might try just the fine ones because the extra fine are too darn small

You can always add honey or syrup to LC food if you need to.

I did a check at 4.5 and he is getting close to green.. I tried to give him food and nope not going to even look at it twice :roll:

He's still at a very safe number. Try again in a bit to get him to eat LC. Test in an hour and see where he is.

He should be slowing down a bit....already has.

He is about the same as a couple nights ago.

Like I said...just send me a PM and it will notify me and I will pop on your condo, ok? You've done green numbers with him before :-D

OK Thanks ... I know he will eat his usual no carb stuff but Im trying to get him hungry.. if he goes really low and I cant get any food into him I will pm you but I read in another thread you havent slept.. that was me yesterday.. I am officially nocturnal !! I get such bad allergies and have to take antihistamines and they knock me out so its hard to bare sometimes
