Hello again,
I took Woody up to 4U's last night and again this am -- his numbers for the last few days have been terribly high ( mostly) I can't figure out why? he was doing so well on the 3.75 ( even when the bounces ) seemed to clear. Would you say I should stay at 4 U's for the next 3 days ( 6 cycles ) and see what unfolds? thanks,

Looks like Woody is still bouncing from that 65 a few days ago. Today is cycle 6 after that, so hopefully he'll come down during the day or tonight. Some cats like to go high before they go low as they break a bounce. The other thing that could be happening is something we call New Dose Wonkiness. More information here: New Dose Wonkiness (NDW) and failed reductions

The cure for NDW is to just wait for the high numbers to go away, it doesn't last long. Hold the dose 3 days and see what happens.

Hi Wendy,
Hmmm,, I have not seen the read HI all day ( on the libre sensor) for a very long time, this is why I am confused -- the month of April he had several low bounce days - then for some days later ( with him about 4) it would be a higher BG level read --- but not HI all for the whole day. Which, gets me wondering if this is as faulty sensor? I do not ear prick test ) I have tried ( many times) and can't get it down -- - His vets tell me they can't get any blood from his outer ear either? they say it's hard to find a spot on his ear --- I would ( truly) need someone to be here with me and practice on him - and I don't know anyone with a diabetic cat. I know that's not an excuse. I guess I could figure out and watch the videos over and over again?

When did you last replace the Libre? Might be useful to note the days a new sensor goes on in the Remarks column of the spreadsheet.

You can always practice ear testing on a non diabetic cat too - to see if it's Woody or the operator. ;) It does take a lot of practice in the beginning. I've poked a couple of friends non diabetic cats and two of my own in addition to Neko. It's always harder in the beginning, until their ears "learn" to bleed.

Hi Wendy --- Woody's #'s did come down last night -- and today NICE numbers -- of course a few hours b4 his PM shot he's always higher --- you were right (bouncey bouncey) He always has a libre on ) since we started this whole thing ( Dec 2023) hahaah, yes I need to get a grip on myself -- if I can help operate on my cats with my vet and my macaws and tackle any other type of treatment, surely I can figure out how to poke his ear without him laughing at me -- I will ask my friend at the clinic, Denise to learned me -- I guess I am also addicted to these damn sensors )

Wendy, I just loaded it up — was out all day —- Woody was pretty bouncy today —
