We've put him back on 2units of metacam - despite the issues re CKD - for the time being. He may well be aching following his awkward stumble off the bed. His gait has certainly suffered for that.
Mind you he took himself for his walk this morning despite the downpour.

Forgot to add yesterday's condo

Here is the link to yesterday's post. We include the links to the previous post so people can easily go back and see the history.

What's the position on using buprenorphine instead of Metacam in New Zealand. My Neko had CKD to, and quite bad arthritis due to her acromegaly. She was on buprenorphine twice daily for a couple years and it really helped.

Keep on sliding down Ty.

I don't know. Had a quick squiz around NZ med /vet sites and I think it is used here for after surgeries.
I can certainly ask.

So far metacam has been strongly pushed by the vet clinic and even said minimal harm re CKD. The other med was Nupetin which did nothing.

Thank you.
Ole jelly legs still thinks he is a master acrobat. He has a box to help with the up and down but nopes, he had to take a flyer.
