Friday's post

Radar is a bit reluctant to eat this morning which is puzzling. I've offered many many choices and he barely eats a few bites and then walks away....:banghead::arghh: I will stay on top of the testing today because he's already dropping and will of course keep trying to feed him... I just hope I don't have to fight the insulin all day to keep him out of the 30s... sigh

First thing comes to my mind is how is the LB deposits? Or with IBD and a sensitive tummy when it flares up the appetite can slow.
Funny thing is with these fur babies it can be one of many things which keep us perplexed.
Hope he eats better the rest of the day.;);)

Your thoughts are exactly what I've been wondering... there are so many moving parts. I try to keep everything the same but with the drama this week with his dental many of those same things were altered and I'm sure that's upset his tummy. Thanks for the encouragement.

Radar has eaten a lot of baby food today but not much else.... I did get SEB into him at +4 and will try another dose so that hopefully he will be willing to eat a proper supper in a few hours.

I hope Radar's appy picks up. Is he still on pain meds? If he is, that could be affecting his appy. Sending prayers.

I gave him two installments of slippery elm bark a few hours apart and a little while ago my patient asked for food and then ate a few teaspoons of chicken. :) He is not on pain meds because he is not exhibiting obvious signs like breadloafing with head down and eyes closed. I suppose it's possible that he is in a bit of pain and thats why he doesn't want to eat... but I suspect that his tummy is upset for some unknown reason and the slippery elm bark has soothed his innerds and that's why he is again returning to more normal eating. On the other hand perhaps the bupe is still in his system and has upset his tummy or made him feel nauseated... ??? Thanks for the prayers and your thoughts.
