Zener is feeling a little punk this morning, seems to be his tummy hurting/cramping and poor appy. Liz did tummy massage and got him eating but he still seems a little under the weather. He still did his routine yard patrol! His walking is definitely better after the vetty visit.

@julie - Zener is so considerate and very good at expressing his opinion! The fresh urine sample was just what we needed. :lol:

The big guy is sitting outside in his backyard soaking up the sun right now. Paws crossed his appy picks up and his numbers don't dive! nailbite_smile

Way to go Z-man !! Almost back to blue, I se Mr. liver is getting braver. I hope he is feeling better now that he is back into lower numbers.

Sorry i missed you yesterday, I just got caught up! :lol: :lol: I love "The Adventures of Detective Poo and Chief Inspector Crapdash." Interesting way to get a urine sample, fast thinking there! :lol: :lol:

Nice slow cycle there Zener. I hope his appy picks back up. Poor guy. Mama bean's tummy massage should do the trick. Have I ever mentioned I would love to be one of your cats in my next life? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Zener and Tarragon are hanging out a lot these days. I'm not sure who the bad influence is. Think blue boys!!!!

Sorry to hear Zener's tummy is hurting and hope Liz's massage has helped. Feel better, Zener. That's a nice, slow slide today.

Maybe Z ate too many eels yesterday? Hope he's feeling much better this afternoon.

Thanks all for stopping in to send good tummy vibes. We've managed to get enough food in him for a safe cycle. Liz is off to the vet shortly to pick up three cerenia injections as he is acting just like he does when his tummy is cramping and hurting and the cerenia does the trick. We also are going to get them in pill format to try on a more regular basis when his appy starts to decrease. Paws crossed this does the trick.

The big guy is starting to perk up and feel a little better. Liz got three cerenia injections from the vet and gave him #1 at +11. Surprise, surprise, surprise - he was GREEN. :o She tested again at +11.5 which is usually when we start feeding to get ready for shot time and he was 84 :o Purring, but not wanting to eat. So, we decided to stall a bit to see if he would stay in the 80s and to see if the cerenia would get on board soon enough for him to eat for his shot and to not have to give him appy stimulant. About 20 minutes later, he hopped up on his testing stool and put his paw out, a sure sign he wants to eat. Whew. nailbite_smile And his BG was holding at 86. :mrgreen: So, we felt like we could get him to eat and it was safe to shoot. All in all, we only delayed 15 minutes from his usual time.

@Ann & Tess - oh my, it's been one of those day - nice numbers but not much eating, so stressful for the beans!

@Melissa & Mr T - no such luck, so we got Cerenia from the vet and started that again. And he's blue and green despite feeling punk.

@Ann & Maggie - and he kept sliding into green at the end of his cycle. We would be happy about that if we weren't so worried about him not eating.

@Ella - hmm, maybe it was the eels! He seems to be feeling a little better since he got the cerenia injection. Hey Rusty, I likes pictures, 'specially of me! - Zener

@Linda - paws crossed the cerenia will get him back on track toot sweet.

@Barb - we sure stress when he won't eat, it's worse in some ways than high numbers! Fortunately he ate decent at PMPS so shot is on board.

@Roni - and then the green. We always feel empathy for you when we see Moonie's having appy issues.

@Amy - yep, he's sliding. Paws crossed he goes easy while his appy is not the best, keeps the beans from freaking out!

@Sienne - you are so right, the night looks much better with appy!

Liz and I went back and looked at his SS and it seems about every 3-4 weeks, Zener goes through a bout of tummy cramping, pain and not eating and our usual methods of ondansetron, zantac and tummy massage don't help. The cerenia seems to kick start him again, and we've used 3 injections - daily for three days. Our vet is ordering the pill version for us so we can try it when his appy seems to be failing and his tummy hurting, rather than waiting until he won't eat and giving injections. He doesn't like the shots and we don't like giving them, so pills would be great! :razz:

We'll be testing soon and often since we had a green PMPS and are worried a bit about his eating. Hope everyone has a drama-free night.

Great to hear he is eating. Poor guy. His tummy gives him fits for sure. Nice greens Zener! I hope the shot helps and he is feeling better in no time!

Awww poor guy, I feel so badly for him. I would imagine its not fun having a tummyache and cramps to boot. Feel better soon Zener we are all worried about you. Sending him feel better vines.

Zener has been getting on his foot stool at his regular mini meal intervals tonight, and has wanted to go outside for a picnic to finish up, so we are starting to breathe a little easier tonight. :smile: We have two more days of cerenia and paws crossed he is fully back on track very soon. He just came in from his latest picnic to play some tent with Liz. He heard her getting the blanket out and came running in! :-D

It's been a good numbers day, despite the tummy problems and not eating. Paws crossed the cerenia does it's magic. No worries about the time, we are on the same time as you now - AZ does not do daylight savings time. And you can visit here anytime! :YMHUG:
