Much better than that nasty 528 yesterday morning...even if it was caused by a beautiful blue the night before. :)

Hoping for a nice, slowly declining day today and lots of yellows. I'm still trying to figure out why Pumbaa frequently seems to have his lowest numbers of the day during the p.m. cycle. That seems odd to me, and I have no clue if it's food related, exercise related, sleep related or what. If anyone has any ideas about this, let me know.

Don't we all wish we knew the answer to that mystery... But it is very common for cats to run lower at night than during the day...kind of like sundower's syndrome, which is why we always recommend a "lights out" test to make sure kitty isn't dropping to low before you head off to bed.

I've often wondered if it is because cats are hardwired to be nocturnal hunters, so their bodies gear up for a night of hunting and eating, whereas during the day they become throw rugs. Or at least mine do, they sleep most of the day and then get the midnight crazy's.

I like your explanation of the nocturnal hunters. Although I think mine are throw rugs 24 hours a day. *LOL*

Re: 5/9 Pumbaa AMPS/342

Kit is so far in the opposite direction from nocturnal hunter......lol. But he used to run lower at night too at the beginning - before his numbers went flat - and it always was on a Sunday night. Why? B/c it would be too easy if it were at a time that I didn't need to sleep obviously! lol. Apparently though it is quite common, as Mel said, that they run lower at night.

That 342 is so much nicer than that black. Hopefully the bounce clears soon and we'll see some nice blues again!

Re: 5/9 Pumbaa AMPS/342

So, computers always crash during a deadline, the internet goes down when you need to pay bills, and cats are guaranteed to go to low greens just when you are dog-tired and need a good night's sleep. Gotcha, Lil! This is the story of my life, anyway. *LOL*

Since I am self-employed and work from home, I'm thinking I should change hours to the night shift!

ps: From your mouth to God's ear about the bounce clearing and seeing more blues!
