Yesterday, yucky tri colour day. Thanks for visiting us late last night Elise while your black and white was keeping you up.

Better start today than last night. Neko's feeling better, although I did still get some purrs before bed when she was in the stinky pinky. She tried to get me out of my btb this morning by looking cute and making noises. She has quite the loud "I'm hungry" meow and wandered into the bedroom, flopped on the carpet and stretched out, tummy up, inviting rubs. She's knows I have a hard time resisting that. :lol:

Today is cross border strips pick up day. Her next test will determine if DH comes with me. The trip will probably be quicker if it's just me. ;-)

Sending vines to all kitties and beans in need with extra special ones going out to Tucson for Rich and Rex.

Nice starting place for Neko. Now where does she go from here? Neko, are you wanting your daddybean to hang with you today, or do you want to be alone for a while? It's up to you, apparently. Choose wisely! ;-)

Whatever she does, I hope it's a nice, safe number. She is certainly looking better today, numberwise. I am glad to hear she feels better, too.

What a great start for Neko today. They are so hard to resist when they're being cute like that. I hope your cross border trip goes well.

Just got back from a successful shopping trip. We now have about 1000 strips in house :cool: , a nice new Frio wallet in case we want to go on a little trip with Neko, some more pure meat babyfood (not available in Canada) and some Neosporin. I've been using Polysporin as Neosporin is not available in Canada :YMSIGH: but there is one extra ingredient in Neosporin. So anything I can do to help Neko's little ears.

Neko was in house proper to greet us (and get their +9.5 snack) and then beetled out to the solarium right away. I read that cat's who spend a lot of time in the sun can have their coats go a little gray or reddish. It explains why Neko often looks like a brown and white cat. :lol:

@Ruth - Neko is on Levemir which has a later nadir, so her nadir tends to be +9 to +12 most of the time which means 164 is a bit higher than I'd like.

@Tricia - A better day than yesterday, although the +3 was only one point different. :roll: Daddybean came with, always nice to have someone for the road trip. Neko probably slept in the solarium the whole time.

@Amy - Nothing better than a long haired fluffy white belly. And one that likes being stroked. cat_pet_icon Trip was a success. I had 200 strips on hand, but since I have to go across a border for much cheaper strips, I'd rather do it before the summer crazy border line-ups.

@Carla - Cats know exactly what they have to do to get our attention. :lol:

Sounds like a most successful day. Wow, that is a lot of strips! Neko, Rusty is so pleased that you and Tess were able to catch more eels and fish for another sushi bar tonight. Party on!

Ella - :lol: on the strips. The last time I got the same amount and ADW recently sent me a "it's been a while since you've shopped, we miss you, have 10% off your order". So I did. ;-) No rowing this weekend - there is a regatta on Vancouver Island for the juniors and almost all of our shells will be over there, as well as the coach. But we just miss one day and next week we start rowing 4 days a week. :shock: I think we've got a little thundershower here - Neko is under the bed sharpening her sushi knives. :lol:

Looks like she's keeping on playing in the BMG tonight! Love those blues. :-D And best of all, I got most of the tummy combed.

@Catherine - It's a little over an hour to the Walmart, a bit farther to where I pickup my strips. But the border line up was almost 1/2 hour on the way down. :-x Just 5 minutes line up on the way back.

@Liz - Mostly blue with just a touch of yellow is a decent day. She got some sun, but the evening storm was a bit scary. She comes racing in from the solarium as soon as the rain gets loud. :lol:

Hi Wendy. Are the strips cheaper at Walmart than ADW? The closest Walmart to me is a drive and on line ADW is cheaper. Good night numbers for Neko. So you have to give Neko pain meds every day? Poor Neko.

I got the babyfood and Neosporin at Walmart, and the strips come from ADW to someone I know down there. ADW doesn't ship to Canada.

Early this year I noticed Neko really slowing down and she stopped jumping on the kitchen stool so seemed to be feeling pain. Acrocats can get a type of spinal arthritis. We did start Cartrophen shots (Adequan in the US) but that wasn't enough. She's been a lot more active, purring and playful since I started the bupe. But thankfully, still not jumping on the kitchen stools to get to the counter. The bupe is chicken flavor so she doesn't mind getting it.

... one more thought as I read through additional comments ... have you considered using Gabapentin? We got a script for Gray and it seems to help w/ the aches of getting older (hey, maybe I need to get some for me!) :lol:
