Yesterday (civie condo hijack)
5/8 Recap:
AMPS 114 +9 117
PMPS 131 +5 154
Late start for the condo (again!) today. I gave Neko her breffs and shot, slapped down Otto, did the bupe rounds and headed out the door. When I came back home neither cat greeted me. It wasn't until I opened the fridge door that they came inside to say hello and feed me.
Neko's 5 P's today, and very much enjoying the toasty warm solarium. Lots of purrs when I got the +7 test. She's also hogging the best shade spot, as usual. At least Theo seems to be limping somewhat less today - the sun will be good for him.
OT: It seems like a summer day here today. We had a wonderful morning. We took an aluminum skiff over to the other side of the inlet (about 10+ km) then rowed with a neighbouring rowing club. We got to row an 8.
Our club doesn't have an 8, it takes up too much room in our tiny boathouse. But it was cool to feel the power of that many people moving the boat. Of course, it was sweeping instead of sculling, which means slightly different motions (one oar instead of two), so a whole new set of sore muscles.
Lots of birds on view. There are pilings with stacks of occupied purple martin houses and shearwaters zooming alongside the boat.
We are heading out again tonight - got a text message from friends who just got some fresh spot prawns.
