Yesterday (civie condo hijack)

5/8 Recap:
AMPS 114 +9 117
PMPS 131 +5 154

Late start for the condo (again!) today. I gave Neko her breffs and shot, slapped down Otto, did the bupe rounds and headed out the door. When I came back home neither cat greeted me. It wasn't until I opened the fridge door that they came inside to say hello and feed me. Neko's 5 P's today, and very much enjoying the toasty warm solarium. Lots of purrs when I got the +7 test. She's also hogging the best shade spot, as usual. At least Theo seems to be limping somewhat less today - the sun will be good for him.

OT: It seems like a summer day here today. We had a wonderful morning. We took an aluminum skiff over to the other side of the inlet (about 10+ km) then rowed with a neighbouring rowing club. We got to row an 8. Our club doesn't have an 8, it takes up too much room in our tiny boathouse. But it was cool to feel the power of that many people moving the boat. Of course, it was sweeping instead of sculling, which means slightly different motions (one oar instead of two), so a whole new set of sore muscles. :p Lots of birds on view. There are pilings with stacks of occupied purple martin houses and shearwaters zooming alongside the boat.

We are heading out again tonight - got a text message from friends who just got some fresh spot prawns. :)

Nothing like the fridge door opening to bring the critters scurrying from every corner :)

Glad you had a good row and Theo hasn't done anything too nasty to his leg. Sorry to hear he had to have his anal sacs done too - yuk!

Sounds like Neko and Theo are doing good today which is always good news. We are also having nice sunny weather. Enjoy the rowing it sounds like fun.

looks pretty blue there and sounds warm.....
(of course, front moving in here- cold winds -snow maybe)

i bet the bigger 8 did had a different feel. sounds neat.

Just back from our friends place and dinner. DH cooked the spot prawns - very nice! Spot prawn season just started a couple of days ago. Kitties were glad to see me - last bit of dinner was due. Late again!

@Tricia, Carla, Serryn, Peg, Rhiannon, Bron, Suki - A good day for cats, other than the late meals. Theo's limp isn't as bad as it was yesterday. No prawns for the kitties, done in a sauce with garlic and brandy which are no-nos. Our friend's cat got a raw prawn so at least one cat was happy. OK, so is the purring furry on my lap. :)

I'm a little lare and missed Theo's limp. It sounds like he's feeling better. Your day on the water rowing an 8 sounded wonderful. Worth sore muscles! The prawns also sounded great.
