So after last night's fun, I'm hoping for a more calm night tonight. Looks like he should surf just fine today with that +2. I certainly hope so anyway, because I'll be lucky to get home before pmps. He was eagerly awaiting second breakfast when I left (feeder was due to turn about 20 minutes later). I also realized in my sleep-addled state this morning I gave him his shot at regular time, which was actually at 11.25 because of last night's delay. I still shot .75, or at least I think I did. Those .25's are hard to see on the syringes.
His Adequan arrived yesterday. I posted in the main health forum, but have had few replies. Amongst all the antics last night I did manage to look up conversions and found that .2mL is equal to 20 units, so I don't need any special syringes, I can use the ones I have. Since it is twice weekly for 4 weeks, I'm going to do Mon/Thu dosing, so he'll get it tonight. Anyone know if I need to stagger that shot away from his insulin shot?
Also...in my googling last night, I found something that said the Adequan vial should only be punctured a maximum of 10 times. This might have been on equine adequan, might have been on the canine (which is what I have), I don't remember. That's only going to get us 3 months worth of use, when the vet said a single vial would be enough for 18 months at his dose. Has anyone else been told this?
