You just reminded me. I noticed Checks was a bit higher today. He's been eating the FF Turkey& Giblets, all day. I forgot that we've had that discussion on the board , about it raising bg. Hmmmm.

Hi Barb & Checkers, reading your post from last night, and yep, Maggie did get a spike this morning from the FF Turkey & Giblets! Oh well, it was Mother's Day for Maggie, too, and she was so enjoying the Turkey & Giblets. I had the T&G in the frig, along with her low carb FF Seafood Feast and mistakenly grabbed the T&G! I guess she was meant to have a treat. It will be interesting to see Checkers' ss today to see if it caused a spike! She still stayed in the blues, so not bad! Hope everyone has a nice Monday.

I missed the discussion about the FF turkey and giblets. I wonder if that is why Simon is getting higher numbers recently? I have been giving him the t&g almost every day. I know the mixed grill and anything with beef usually causes him to spike but didn't think about the turkey.

This is why Tray only gets FF as a special treat on holidays but since it was Mothers' Day, Maggie was allowed to indulge.

Hi Georgia, yes, it's something I and a few others here notice with the FF Turkey & Giblets raising our kitties' glucose. Maggie eats FF Seafood Feast and is fine with this flavor. There are others here though that say it has no effect on kitty's glucose, so it's the "each cat is different" thing! I hope both you and Simon have a nice day.

Looking good Maggie!! Anything fun on the agenda today Ann? Interesting about the FF!! I know Libby said once that she thinks it not always about the %carbs..sometimes it's also the ingredients and I find this to be true. Have a great day.

Hi Marje, I think that's so true, as Maggie also can't eat some of the Wellness wet foods that are lc, but some of the ingredients...carrots, blueberries...must raise her bg.

I'm thinking the 189 bg is a food spike, as I left food for her while I was gone, and she had eaten over half of it! She's now asleep in her bed by the bedroom window.

Hi guys - late again... sorry. never enough time, is there. :roll:

I am glad Maggie got her treat last night, for Mother's Day - even if it did make for a spiked BG. I think it was meant to be... :-D :-D There are a few others that have mentioned they see the same thing with the FF T&G. I do believe what Marje wrote to be correct. It's nice you can leave food out for her, and she eats when she should. Mannie would eat it all at once - he's such a hoover....
