Yesterday's Condo

Gabby only wanted to cuddle throughout the night. Every time I woke up for whatever reason, she wanted her ears scratched. It was very sweet. Now, if she would only bring her numbers down!

Gabby, did you forget its Mother's Day? You're supposed to give your momma a blue or green present. Blackie will see you at the party and really wants to see that blue/green party dress on you.

I guess Gabby was sucking up to you with the night time snuggles knowing you would
not be please with those pinks. Almost yellow so I hope she gives you some more
mother's day presents as the day goes on.

Could you send Gabby over here to teach Tuscany how to cuddle?? She has never been a cuddle kitten and I am jealous of your cuddletime....

For most of her life, Gabby was not a cuddler. This is recent/new behavior. Her buddy, my mutant, male calico, civvie, George, was the cuddle kitty. He would be on the pillows tucked in by my face so I could wrap an arm around him for belly scratches or snuggled somewhere so he would be able to touch me throughout the night (or day, for that matter). George crossed the Bridge shortly before Gabby was diagnosed. I think she has taken up some of George's behaviors -- certainly the snuggles. I think she knew how much I missed George and Gabby certainly missed him, as well.

It's a little ironic to be posting about George today. It's the anniversary of the day I helped him to cross the Bridge after 20+ years of companionship and living almost a year with intestinal CA.

Gabby, that was so sweet of you to give your mama cuddles on Mother's Day! :smile: She appreciates them so much. Since you seem to be in a giving mood, I don't think she would turn away a blue # right about now, either. Just sayin'.

This is the weirdest day of numbers I've seen. The lowest number has been PMPS. I keep wondering if the snack at +9 is helping. It seems like on some days it is getting her pancreas to kick in.

I guess everyone was saying they wanted to see Gabby in blue or green. I guess she got the message and decided to comply!

Good for Gabby! She gave you a mothers' day present after all!. I was touched by your post about George. That's the way I still feel about Alice, gone now more than 10 years. We rescued her on the street from a gang of little boys with bats and sticks. She had been abandoned and all she ever wanted was a home. We never knew how old she was.

Cosmo has certainly become much more snuggly since being dx, but he has always been affectionate. Thanks for sharing about George. I hope we all have that much time with our babies, but I'm sorry your time with him had to end. I'm sure he's enjoying the Rainbow Bridge and checks in on you and Gabby often.

Wow, Glad Ms. Gabby came down to some nice looking blues for you today. Sounds like you still miss your George...(((Cheryl))) You never really get over missing them, but I am glad that Gabby has taken up some of his habits..nothing like a nice cuddly kitty!!
