Good Morning LL
No shot today.
I'm not calling this a trial, just an experiment. I'm not 100% sure, he's ready, but he (sometimes) drops too low on even one drop.
If this doesn't work, I'll have to give the one drop and a little more carb to offset it, which I believe defeats the purpose of the insulin. JMHO
Today he is hungry, asking for food again in about an hour after breffis.
His +14, is a normal food spike.
I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, in case this isn't to be.

Please don't get happy for us, it's not an otj trial. :smile:

Hi Barb - good luck! I think the experiment is worth the effort. It will be interesting to see what he does. It should give you valuable data too. I know about the sometimes going too low on one drop - I keep thinking how can you reduce even more? He's hardly getting anything at all right now Maybe he could sniff the vapors.... :lol: Come on Checks! GO! I will be watching to see how this pans out.

I think Checkers is as confused as I am about how he feels. He keeps asking for food. This is the guy who has never cared about eating. When his numbers are low lately, he is constantly begging for food.
However he isn't low now. I keep hoping for a fasting number, but he keeps begging. I'm a sucker and can't refuse food.
He is coming down by himself, despite all the eating.

Although blue is nice, I'm not impressed, so far today. I wonder if I can manage less than a drop, tomorrow.
I expermented with the syringe, and when I draw half unit, it has 3 drops in it. I then squiggle out 2.
Obviously, I'm guessing at what's left.

Anyone have any tricks to do that?

I think that is a good way to measure a drop. I've just been drawing juice up to the line with no daylight, but I may not be getting a big enough drop! confused_cat I might try your way!

Hi Maggie. I suppose I don't need to tell you, that our syringes may not be the same, drop wise.
I don't even trust that I'm getting the exact amount every time.

I feel I short-changed him today. No shot tonight though. I need to give it a chance.
Not sure what to do tomorrow

It didn't hurt him to be blue all day today, so maybe I should really give it two days. (four cycles)
Hmmm, I need to make a decision, don't I?

Hi Barb - good luck! I don't know how you could measure any smaller.... Ann of Ann and Tess is on drops, she was measuring a half drop for a while. maybe she can help you out.

No, I don't think you short changed him today. It was worth giving it a shot, tomorrow will be interesting. Good luck with your decision. I think me may need something???, but wow - a drop was sending him to the 30's.... Never a dull moment, huh.

Celi, I didn't want to bring this condo up to the top again, but I just love to see you on here.....especially since you say such nice things :YMHUG:
I hope you're feeling okay, at least have some good meds. I hear knee surgery is one of the worst.

Thanks Michelle. I think I'll ask Ann, how she measured half a drop. I"m having enough trouble with a whole drop. :roll:
